Transformers: Devastation Gameplay Is A Gee-Wonder To Behold

At E3, we got our first look at Transformers: Devastation, the upcoming Generation 1-inspired title from Platinum Games. Today, we get another high-flying, triple-changing, plasma-axing look at the title.

Platinum is working hard to nail the look of the original 1980s cartoon, and the presence of both Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime) and Frank Welker (Megatron) certainly helps sell it. The battles look frantic and flashy, amounting to pretty much everything we ever wanted in a Transformers game as we played on the floor in our rooms making the iconic sound with our mouths.

Soldier: 76 Is The Latest Overwatch Character To Get The Spotlight

While most of the world has yet to touch Overwatch, that isn’t stopping Blizzard from trying to get people excited. Today we’ve got yet another match featuring the most recently announced character, Soldier: 76.

76 is a vigilante, relentlessly pursuing the truth behind Overwatch’s collapse. He wields a pulse rifle and rockets, and has the ability to sprint into (or out of) combat. His biotic field heals him and nearby allies to keep the team on its feet.

His ultimate ability, the tactical visor, locks 76 onto the nearest threat. If that enemy leaves the field of view, the visor snaps to the next target.

Star Power Has Evolved

Star Power Has Evolved

FreeStyleGames have revealed new information about the successor to Guitar Hero’s Star Power mechanic. Like Star Power, Hero Powers are activated by tilting the controller or pressing the dedicated button on the bridge. Guitar Hero Live has seven of these unique abilities, all purchased with in-game currency and usable in Guitar Hero TV.

The Clear Highway power removes all notes in the immediate vicinity on the screen. All notes removed this way are counted as hits, so your score and multiplier still climb. Another is Dial Up, which temporarily increases the frequency of notes. Brave players can use this ability to make certain passages harder – and score more points.

Dial Down works in the opposite direction. Encounter a part of the song that is too difficult? Note frequency decreases when activated, which is perfect for coasting through a tough solo with your multiplier intact. Double Multiplier and Score Chaser are more basic powers similar to traditional Star Power. Double Multiplier doubles the player’s score multiplier for the duration of the ability. Score Chaser doubles the maximum possible multiplier.

Don’t Shoot The Food When Gauntlet: Slayer Edition Arrives On PS4 This Summer

about X hours ago from

Before there was Diablo, there were four adventurers who just couldn’t stop shooting food. In 2014, Gauntlet made a comeback on PC, iterating on the classic dungeon-diving adventures of the Warrior, Valkyrie, Wizard, and Elf. This summer, a version of that game arrives on PlayStation 4.

Developer Arrowhead (Magicka 1, Helldivers) is retooling the game for its console debut. “This however, will not just be a straight port, but a stronger, cooler and more slayer-y version of the one we released on the PC,” writes game director Emil Englund. “We’ve been shaping up a lot of the assets in the game, both Characters and Environments, as well as improving on the game mechanics.”
