Things Go From Bad To Worse In Life Is Strange Episode 4 Trailer

The fourth installment in Dontnod Entertainment's five-part series Life is Strange is coming to consoles and PC next week, and a new trailer shows just how dire things are going to get for Max as she investigates a girl's disappearance. It looks like there may be more to that End of the World Party than a catchy name.

The new episode, Darkroom, is coming July 28 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.

NFL Rookies Learn Their Madden Ratings

NFL rookies – even first round picks – often struggle to make the leap between college and professional football.  Madden's list of its top ten NFL rookies indicates as such, with WR Amari Cooper having the highest rating at 82 overall. The rest of the list lies below:

1. Amari Cooper, WR, OAK - 82 OVR2. Jameis Winston, QB, TB - 81 OVR3. Todd Gurley, RB, STL - 80 OVR
4. Leonard Williams, DL, NYJ - 80 OVR
5. Brandon Scherff, OL, WAS - 80 OVR
6. Dante Fowler Jr., DE, JAX - 79 OVR
7. Melvin Gordon, RB, SD - 78 OVR
8. Kevin White, WR, CHI - 78 OVR
9. Marcus Mariota, QB, TEN - 78 OVR
10. Vic Beasley Jr., DE, ATL - 77 OVR

We should remember that none of these players have played a down in the NFL. Over the course of a full season, Tennessee Titans' QB Marcus Mariota could prove to be the best rookie quarterback. RB Todd Gurley, meanwhile, might fail to recover from his torn ACL and end up as a bust. (After all, Johnny Manziel started last season at 77 overall.)

A Street Fighter Veteran Enters The Ring With A New Take On The Genre

Fighting games can be one of the most thrilling tests of pure skill, challenging players to anticipate their opponents’ moves and react with lightning speed. Newcomers hoping to tap into that excitement face an intimidating climb from the outset. What other genre asks its players to memorize arcane button combinations to perform the moves that are critical to success? More to the point, is that kind of barrier necessary? A new game debuted at this year’s Evo tournaments that poses those big questions, and it has a pedigree that could make even the biggest advocates of the genre’s secret knocks take notice.

Seth Killian is a well-known member of the fighting-game community, having worked at Capcom on its Street Fighter IV series and served as a public face for the franchise. Killian was a lead designer at Sony Santa Monica’s External Studio until last year, when he decided to forge out on his own. Now he manages a team at Radiant Entertainment, where he’s working on an all-new competitive fighting game on PC. With it, he’s hoping to make the genre he loves accessible to a new generation of fans.

Angry Birds 2 Arrives On iOS And Android Devices Next Week

about X hours ago from

I know you're probably thinking, "Haven't I already played a bunch of Angry Birds sequels?" You're not wrong, but this is the first one to receive the coveted number two after the title.

Regarding what separates this game from the original or any of its many follow-ups – it's not clear yet. A teaser for the game, which you can see below, features realistic pigs and boxes on a realistic beach. It would be easy to mistake it for a teaser for a new Far Cry game.

Cinematic Trailer Shows Emperor Karl Franz In Massive Total War: Warhammer Battle

about X hours ago from

Emperor Karl Franz isn't the kind of leader who's afraid to get his hands dirty on the battlefield, as evidenced in a new Total War: Warhammer trailer. The in-engine cinematic shows the Battle of Fire Pass, which pits the Empire against the Greenskins.

The clip may not have a shred of gameplay in it, but it does capture the feel of a fantasy battle. It's also a great showcase for the Demigryphs, which we saw earlier this week in another trailer. It's clearer than ever that Creative Assembly wasn't joking around when they said these lion/eagle hybrids were an invaluable tool of war.

Asymmetrical Multiplayer Meets Survival Horror

about X hours ago from

The Flock, an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game, counts each player death. Once the community reaches a certain number of deaths, the indie title will no longer be available for purchase, leaving game owners to battle it out in an as-of-now unannounced finale. After this climatic ending, The Flock will go offline – permanently.

According to developer Vogelsap's creative director Jeroen Van Hasselt, The Flock aims to combine frenetic multiplayer action, survival horror, and good storytelling. "In opposition to other multiplayer games," says Hasselt, "we want The Flock's experience to inspire a sense of awe, to keep players eagerly anticipating what is coming next and to end with a memorable climax." To see how this looks in action, check out the alpha trailer below.
