Learn More About Fallout 4’s Dogmeat And Other Companions

about X hours ago from

Companions aren’t a new concept for Bethesda games or the Fallout series, but Fallout 4’s Dogmeat takes things in a new direction. Your faithful companion will be with you throughout (if you want him to be), which has design implications for the canine’s fortitude.

As Fallout 4’s game director Todd Howard points out in the video below, no one wants to lose Dogmeat. Instead, they are just likely to load up a save. For that reason, the pup can get knocked out, but not killed.

Blood Bowl II Launch Trailer Reminds You That Violence Is Always The Answer

Since the NFL got squeamish about the violence in the Blitz series, something has been missing from the sports genre. Focus Home Interactive and Cyanide are trying to rectify that situation.

Blood Bowl II is Cyanide’s second attempt to translate the long-running Games Workshop tabletop game to the digital format. The concept is a blend of football or rugby with the Warhammer fantasy races, like Orcs, Skaven, Dark Elves, and Lizardmen.

Fire Emblem Joins The Cast

Fire Emblem Joins The Cast

I guess we can add Nintendo to the Sega, Capcom, and Bandai Namco mash-up strategy game.

Confirmed for release in North America back in April, Project X Zone 2 keeps adding unexpected cameos to its roster. Despite the impressive and disparate cast of characters from myriad franchises, Nintendo characters were unexpected, but the game is a 3DS exclusive after all. In the trailer below you will see Lucina and Chrom from Fire Emblem join the fray. I can't imagine we will see characters like Mario, Samus, or Link appear, but who knows? Maybe this Fire Emblem crossover will open the floodgates.

Project X Zone 2 arrives in North America on 3DS before the end of the year.

Learn About The Mystery You And Your Digimon Will Be Solving

A new trailer has released for the upcoming Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth that sets up the premise of the game.

It's been awhile since we've heard from the Digimon side of the collectible-monster-with-a-cartoon-tie-in genre, and the latest trailer for the game shows a somewhat different version of the world than we're familiar with. The kids are now teens, and the cyber-detectives have forgotten to finish buttoning up their shirts for some reason.

You won't find any gameplay in the trailer, but you will get the setup for the game's story.

Catch Up On The Black Ops Story Ahead Of Call Of Duty: Black Ops III

A new video from Treyarch recaps the events of the first two Call of Duty: Black Ops games ahead of the release of the third game in November.

Call of Duty has always been a series that includes story, but isn't necessarily commended for its narrative. I think many would agree, though, that the Black Ops storyline is among the strongest of the series. It's complicated, includes people who aren't actually real, and big timeline jumps, which is why this video is helpful.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III releases November 6. For more on the game, head here.

Four Reasons You Should Play The New Resident Evil 0 Remake

about X hours ago from

Resident Evil remakes have become a dime of dozen with Capcom capitalizing on a new audience of gamers, while still letting fans re-experience their favorite games with a fresh coat of paint. After successfully remaking the first Resident Evil, Capcom has moved on to its prequel, Resident Evil 0. This isn't the first time we've had a remake of this game; a version for the Wii came out back in 2008, but that was merely a port. Resident Evil 0 features several enhancements to make the experience much smoother. At TGS, we went hands-on with the new remake and talked to producer Tsukasa Takenaka to learn more about it.

For new players or fans unsure about Resident Evil 0, we've broken down the finer points of the game.

Latest Blood Bowl II Trailer Pits High Elves Against Grimy Orcs

Blood Bowl II is out next week, which means those of you who like to hammer on the “violence button” in your sports games are in luck. The latest gameplay video shows off another pair of opposites: the High Elves are taking on the Orcs.

While the High Elves focus on finesse and passing, the Orcs prefer to get up close and personal. That isn’t to say they don’t have a passing game… it’s just that it comes with a bit of risk as you’ll see below.
