F1 2016 Goes Full Throttle With 22-Car Multiplayer & New Career Details

F1 2016 Goes Full Throttle With 22-Car Multiplayer & New Career Details

Codemasters has proven itself in the F1 gameplay department, but the developer's handling of the franchise and license in previous iterations hasn't been so complete in other areas. F1 2016 hopes to take a big step forward for the series with its inclusion of more depth on and off the track.

A big part of this is the return of the career mode. Here you'll hire an agent, sign for a team, and work with a team engineer. These elements aren't strictly new to the franchise, but the fact that they're represented with avatars and that the paddock areas have been completely modeled, makes a big difference in how the career mode looks and feels. You'll also select your own driver avatar and helmet design. The latter has been in previous F1 titles, so we shall see if there are more designs available.

Moreover, the upgrading of your car and the overall team R&D not only lets you choose the direction you want the organization to go, but it also enriches other parts of the game. Performing and completing tests during the pre-race practice and qualification sessions earns you points which you can apply to car upgrades, and this facet of the garage amps up the pressure to perform better than your teammate and keep your team competitive. Rivalries will form on and off the track according to how you do.

Sphinxes And Chariots Galore In New Trailer For Egyptian Leader Cleopatra

Famous Egyptian Pharaoh Cleopatra VII is making her return to the Civilization series. Under her rule, you can build up your own empire in the cradle of civilization and create allies as the true Cleopatra did through her romances with influential Roman figures Julius Caesar and Mark Antony. Check out the resources at her disposal in a new trailer.

Sid Meier’s Civilization VI boasts some big changes to core gameplay, including some new features specific to Egypt. The Maryannu Chariot Archer is a new unique unit, which has a larger base for more ammunition, but horses and chariots may face maintenance complications when they venture out onto more lengthy battles. Players can also build the famous monumental sculpture, the Sphinx, which improve faith and culture and get certain bonuses when built beside a wonder. Leaders are said to have certain obsessions and demands when it comes to the building of their empires, and it seems Cleopatra wants as many wonders as she can get into her realm.

Koei Tecmo Reveals New Online Mode And Mechanic

Koei Tecmo released a ton of new information and footage today of its video game adaptation of Hajime Isayama's manga series, including the announcement of a new online mode. [Except]

Attack On Titan's new mode is called "Scout Mode." In it, a player can recruit an online team of three, which he or she picks missions for throughout different locations, but with the similar goal of taking down Titans. Koei Tecmo says the missions contained in Scout Mode differ from those in the main campaign.

The new trailer also shows off the "Decisive Battle Signal." As players rescue other players on the map and take down Titans, they fill their Decisive Battle Meter. When activated, the meter uses all other players in the near area to do a large amount of damage. Check it out in the trailer, as well as a ton of new screens, down below.

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse Arrives In Late September

about X hours ago from

Atlus is squeaking this one in under the wire. We were told to expect Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse during summer 2016 and the release will barely make it in that window.

This game’s story criss-crosses with the narrative of the original Shin Megami Tensei IV. However, Atlus says you don’t need to have played that game to enjoy this one.

Here's 15 Minutes Of Domination Mode In Action

about X hours ago from

During the same E3 event that allowed us to capture footage from Battlefield 1's Conquest mode, I was also allowed to record my session of Domination mode. Domination is a gameplay mode in Battlefield where players fight over several control points littered around the map.

This session took place on the Domination version of The St. Quentin Scar, which is the same area our Conquest demo occurred – but with a smaller map, limiting the battle to a small village. You can watch the footage right here:
