Timebending Shooter Superhot Will Warm Up Your Winter In February

about X hours ago from

At a time when shooters are competing for the most realistic, grim dark visuals, it’s refreshing to see a developer go in the opposite direction. Following a successful Kickstarter campaign that closed in June 2014, Superhot is almost upon us.

The game’s conceit is that time only moves when you do. That means you’ll have the opportunity (and need) to think about where bullets are traveling so you can avoid them.

Sandstorm: Pirate Wars Sets Sail For Android and iOS

Developer Ubisoft Barcelona released its Mad Max-inspired take on post-apocalyptic pirates today. These aren’t the kind of pirates that shout, “Arrr, matey!” on a boat, these are the kind of pirates that ruthlessly destroy a sand cruiser to salvage its valuable parts.

A cast of eccentric scavengers upgrade your sand cruiser in between heated battles set in a dystopian desert. The clashing cruisers are similar to the warring ships of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

The customizable sand cruisers can be used in either single-player mode or a PvP multiplayer mode. The game launched with four unique sand cruisers, but Ubisoft says that it will be expanding on the number of cruisers along with more ship parts, upgrades, and options to decorate your vessel.

EA Explains How Ultimate Team Works For One-On-One UFC Fights

In FIFA, NHL, NBA Live, and Madden, Ultimate Team is about using cards to field a squad with impressive skill and synergy. When EA announced it would be adding the mode to UFC, it wasn’t entirely clear just how it would work.

To answer that question, EA has released a new video walking us through what to expect. Players will build a team of five fighters to begin with using the creation tools. You can put your fighters in any weight class, and you’ll want to spread them out.

Cards represent four different things. Moves are culled from real UFC fighters, and some premium cards are signature moves. Attributes allow you to master specific fighting styles. There are also perks and consumables that you’ll find in packs. Some items are weight class specific.
