Respawn's Vince Zampella On EA Acquisition:

In an interview with GamesBeat, Respawn's Vince Zampella and EA's Patrick Soderlund sat down to talk about EA's acquisition of Respawn announced yesterday.

There has been a fear that EA's owning influence will change Respawn for the worse. The message that Zampella wants people to come away with is that the core is still the same.

"Ultimately, my message is we are still Respawn and we are going to make the same games we did before, and hopefully better," Zampella said. "Anyone who is a fan of Respawn should trust us that what we are doing what we think is best for the future of Respawn and our games. We intend to deliver to our fans everything and more than we did in the past."

Report: Nintendo To Dramatically Ramp Up Switch Production Next Year

Nintendo's popular console could see as many as 30 million units produced within the next fiscal year.

In a new story published by the Wall Street Journal, sources close to Nintendo say the company projects continued strong sales of the console through its next fiscal year, from April 2018 to March 2019. As a result, the company will produce anywhere between 25 and 30 million more consoles within this period. The final figure will be determined by holiday sales, with a chance to increase the estimate should sales be sufficient.

Since its release on March 3, the console has been highly sought after, with Nintendo projecting its sales to outpace the Wii U by the end of this fiscal year. However, this has also resulted in frequent shortages and supply issues among retailers.

Splatoon 2's Next Splatfest Pits Sci-Fi Against Fantasy

Nintendo has revealed that the next Splatfest, kicking off November 17, will be Sci-Fi vs. Fantasy.

Splatfests pit two teams against each other over two days of multiplayer matches, with the teams picking their sides and sometimes being very, very lopsided. Players choose their teams based on how they answer the poll questions and then are graded at the end based on matches won and popularity. Sometimes the more popular choice has lost and sometimes it blows the other choice out.

In addition, the Inkbrush Nouveau releases tonight. It is functionally the same as the normal Inkbrush, but comes with the Ink Mine and the Baller as its weapon set.

Bossa Studios Cancels Splatoon-Like Decksplash After Unpopular Free Week

Bossa Studios, the developers behind Surgeon Simulator and I Am Bread, have cancelled their Tony Hawk-meets-Splatoon after their free week for the game failed to hit a 100,000 player milestone.

Back in March, Bossa Studios took the strange tact of announcing that Decksplash's fate would be determined by a free weekend. If the player count hit 100k, they would release the game into Early Access on Steam. If the game failed to hit the number, they were going to cancel the game. Ultimately, the game failed to hit the numbers that Bossa Studios hoped for, though they have not detailed what numbers exactly it did hit. The website has been torn down and replaced with a farewell message thanking players for their support.

"We always knew that 100k was a big target, but it was the only way to make sure the game was a viable product for both yourselves and us in the long term, now we've gotten our answer," reads the site. "We want to thank everyone who supported us during the Free Week and let you all know that while this is the end of our story, we're glad we got to share it with you."

Destiny 2 – Xur's Gear Rewards And Location For The Weekend Of November 10

Everybody's working for the weekend – and the exotic gear that Destiny 2's mysterious merchant Xur brings for those three days. This time around Xur is set up near the Watcher's Grave fast travel point on Nessus. In Destiny 2, Bungie was kind enough to include his location on the map, so you should have no trouble finding him.

This weekend Xur is selling the Prospector exotic grenade launcher, which, like most grenade launchers in Destiny 2, shouldn't be your first choice. Xur also has some exotic helmets available for each class. For Hunters he has Foetracer, a must have for PvP. For Titan's there's An Insurmountable Skullfort, a great choice for Striker Titans who enjoy an all-out brawl. For Warlock's there's the Eye of Another World, a solid choice if you haven't already picked it up during the campaign.

Xur is only offering this gear for the next three days, so make sure to swing on by Nessus this weekend to pick up some exotic goodies. You can find images for each piece of gear below.
