Activision's Deadpool Getting Delisted, Again

Activision's Deadpool game has had an odd history that just sort of keeps getting dumber.

The game originally released in June 2013 to less than stellar reviews. Due to licensing issues, the game was subsequently delisted from digital distribution services in January 2014, six months after release. Following the success of the Deadpool movie, Activision relicensed the existing title and remastered it for PlayStation 4 and Xbox one, relisting on digital services on November 2015.

Now, two years later, the game is getting delisted again. On November 16, the game will disappear from services for what one assumes is the final time. This two year stretch since the last relisting has been the longest stretch of time the game has been available.

Hulu Activates Hitman TV Series With John Wick Creator

As an IP that has enjoyed a roller coaster few years, it seems like Hitman finds itself in the new once again before the close of 2017 with the announcement of a new TV show from Hulu.

The new show, helmed by John Wick creator Derek Kolstad, will be Hulu's attempt at creating an action-drama that can headline its service of original programming. While no date has been set for it, Hulu is already pushing forward to begin the adaptation.

This would be Hitman's third attempt at live action. The first attempt, 2007's Hitman starring Timothy Olyphant, did not quite hit its target of audiences or, uh, critics. The second attempt. 2015's Hitman: Agent 47, also failed to catch on. Who better to bring Hitman to life than people behind John Wick, however?

EA Cutting Battlefront II Heroes Unlock Costs By 75%

The backlash to Star Wars: Battlefront II's hero unlocking has been swift and fierce since the game went into EA Access this past weekend, prompting the publisher to make drastic cuts to the costs of new heroes by 75% in an update being sent out today.

Newly posted on EA's Battlefront II blog, the update confirms the new prices for the major heroes were partly decided upon after seeing feedback from the EA Access trial.

"Since the start of the project, listening to fans has been important in making sure Star Wars Battlefront II is the very best experience for all of you," EA said. "We’ve stayed true to that with the closed alpha, through the beta last month, and now our Play First Trial. That continues as we move towards worldwide launch this week, and we’re making adjustments to the game based on player feedback. That includes a substantial change we’re making today as we’ve been monitoring things during the Play First Trial. We used data from the beta to help set those levels, but it’s clear that more changes are needed.

Breath Of The Wild's Opening Plateau Recreated Through Mario Maker

Breath Of The Wild's Opening Plateau Recreated Through Mario Maker

Over at GameXplain, Andre Segers has remade the Breath of the Wild's Great Plateau in Super Mario Maker partly as a goodbye to Miiverse.

The video, which you can see below, shows Andre playing through his level using multiple Link costumes and trying to make Breath of the Wild's first few shrines make sense in Mario Maker's mechanics.

"It was a bit of a nightmare trying to figure out how to translate the ideas and mechanics of an open world 3D game into a side-scrolling platformer (especially when it came to the runes!)," Andre told us, "Particularly as the Super Mario Bros. theme I used is the most limited of the bunch! But I think it shows how few hard limits there really are in Super Mario Maker that don't have some creative workaround, and I hope it can inspire other level creators out there! With that said, here's hoping for a proper Legend of Zelda Maker someday."
