Okami's Amaterasu Is Vying To Be In Dota 2

Capcom's Okami HD, a second remastering of the 2006 Zelda-like, is coming out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam next week on December 12. To celebrate that, Capcom has put the protagonist goddess on the Steam Workshop as a courier in Dota 2 for people to vote on her permanent inclusion.

Okami was released at the very tail end of the PlayStation 2's life, sporting a water color artstyle and an incredibly lengthy single player. The game was created by Clover, a Capcom sub-studio that focused on prestige titles that eventually split off to become Platinum Games, and directed by Devil May Cry and Bayonetta director Hideki Kamiya.

You can catch a video of Amaterasu in action as a courier below. She wouldn't be the first third party character added to Valve's mega-popular MOBA, as Amaterasu is predated by Final Fantasy's chocobo and the goat from Goat Simulator.

Nvidia Partners With Nintendo For Wii And Gamecube Games On The Shield In China

In one of the more out-of-nowhere announcements of the last few days, Nvidia have announced that they are partnering with Nintendo to bring Wii and Gamecube games in HD to the Nvidia Shield in China.

There's a lot of caveats to that statement, so let's start from the beginning. About a year ago, Nintendo, Nvidia, and Chinese online video platform iQiyi announced a partnership together to "strengthen all three brands." Nintendo have long been interested in entering theChinese video game market, but has never really been able to go completely in like they have in other regions, so partnerships with other companies makes sense for them.

While the Chinese ban on foreign game consoles ended in 2015 after lasting fifteen years, manufacturers had a difficult time figuring out how to gain a foothold in the country with no distribution networks or really any knowledge of the business network there. As recently as September, Nintendo have been openly eyeing partnerships with Chinese mega-corporation Tencent for games like Arena of Valor.

The Opening Cinematic For Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Pits Light Against Dark

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT, the upcoming PlayStation 4 version of the arcade Final Fantasy fighter, has an opening cutscene that is more than happy to reinforce the game's themes of heroes vs. villains.

(Please visit the site to view this media)

The opening, which is full of quick cuts of various Final Fantasy characters fighting each other in weirdly realistically detailed scenes, is just one of the videos Square-Enix released of the game. Two other videos were also uploaded to help market the game. The first one showcases the game's English voice acting with a cutscene of Noctis meeting Lightning and Warrior of Light.

Some Of Battlefront II's The Last Jedi Content Rolls Out Today

DICE revealed the first season of Battlefront II's DLC based on The Last Jedi in early November. Today, players can start doing faction quests by choosing their team in preparation for the full roll out.

Players can choose either the New Republic or the First Order to ally themselves with, participating in faction quests for the next week. Faction quests will net players credits and crafting parts, as well as a larger reward for the winning team. The first faction quest charges players with getting fifty kills with each trooper class.

After the first week of faction quests, and coinciding with the release of the movie, far more significant DLC becomes available. DICE then adds Captain Phasma and Finn as heroes, a new Galactic Assault map called Crait, a new Starfighter Assault map by the name of D'Qar) and Tallie's A-Wing as a new vehicle, plus new daily challenges.

Deadpool Video Promises Free Tattoos To Brazil Comic-Con Attendees

Deadpool Video Promises Free Tattoos To Brazil Comic-Con Attendees

There's lots of ways to advertise your movie, but Ryan Reynolds and the folks behind Deadpool are taking a different tact by offering free tattoos to attendees of Brazil's Comic-Con.

In a video released today, Reynolds dusts off Google Translate and explains how they're giving away free (and real) permanent Deadpool tattoos at the event. This is, of course, a terrible idea that no one should do, but if you're looking for some kind of Deadpool tattoo already, maybe it's fine?

For most of you, the actual offer doesn't really matter, but the video is funny. You can check it out below and think about what might have been.
