The Ace Attorney anime is getting a second season, the show's official website announced today.
Ace Attorney, known as Gyakuten Saiban in Japan, was decently popular when it aired in 2016, but it ended after having only adapted the first three cases of the first game with no indication of whether it would continue. The new season appears to adapt the third title in the series going by the promotional image, which features Trials & Tribulations rival prosecutor Godot.
The second season is scheduled for release in the back half of 2018. It is unknown whether, like the first season, the show will be simulcast on streaming services.

Epic is sending out invites for the closed beta of Fortnite on iOS for players who signed up for the early access.
The mobile version, which was announced last week, has been described by Epic as the exact same game as the title on PC and consoles. That function is reinforced by the game's ability to crossplay with PS4, PC, and Mac; or crossplay with Xbox, PC, and Mac. It is unclear how, if at all, the game surfaces which console you are playing with.
The timing for the invites is good, as Fortnite has become somewhat of a literal overnight sensation, breaking Twitch viewing records last night when streamer Ninja and rapper Drake streamed the game online. Speculation has been heavy that Epic is even more eager to expand the game's player base to the immense number of game-capable smart phones in the world after yesterday.

Bandai Namco and Arc System Works have announced the next major patch to Dragon Ball FighterZ, which updates rematches and more.
One new feature in the update is Z-Union, which allows players to create fan clubs for individual characters. You can join the Piccolo fan club in game to mirror the real-life Piccolo fan club you're already a part of, though the in-game one gets you special rewards. The longer you commit to your favorite character's club, the better the rewards get.
The rematch option for online World matches will now allow players to do three rematches, instead of the usual two. It is generally considered good manners to offer a best of three set to players online. Ring matches are also now more stable and have made improvements to matchmaking.

Electronic Arts has made a portal website catered to guiding disabled gamers.
EA has had posts about helping disabled gamers on their titles' websites, but this new portal puts all the informational eggs in one basket. "For those with medical differences, game accessibility means pulling down barriers that are preventing play," EA sports accessibility lead Karen Stevens writes in a post. "The Accessibility Portal site has been created to better serve these diverse needs. The portal is intended to act as a compliment to official game pages, making it easier to find what accessibility-specific features and resources are available across games."
A forum on the site allows people to voice feature changes they want in games, as well as general discussions. EA says any news regarding the site will come through the EA Accessible Twitter account.

If there's one thing Fortnite isn't lacking right now, it's mainstream buzz. The insanely popular battle royale game is on the tips of so many celebrity tongues (and shoes) it feels omnipresent in pop culture right now. Epic Games clearly plans to do as much with the zeitgeist as it can.
Today the company announced a "Party Royale" that will take place in Los Angeles during E3. The centerpiece of the event is a grand tournament pitting entertainers, athletes, and Fortnite pros against each other. Given the fantastic relationship the game has with people like Drake, Lil Yachty, Terrell Owens, JJ Watt, and even Roseanne Barr, we don't expect them to have too hard a time filling out each team's lineup with star talent.
In addition, Epic says it will share details on the first season of competitive play in the coming weeks.

Switch launch title Super Bomberman R has been announced for Xbox One, PS4, and PC with exclusive characters on each platform.
The announcement follows a leak from the Korean ratings board that showed the game for the PlayStation 4, which we now know is arriving on two other platforms. For the Xbox One version, players can take Master Chief into the bombing arena; PlayStation 4 owners get the lombax Ratchet; Steam buyers on PC get Portal's P-Body from Portal 2's co-op mode.
The game was not incredibly well-received at the Switch's launch, but a year of DLC and updates helped improve the game over time. The two console versions will launch on June 12, with PC following a day later.
