Weekend Warrior – To Eden's Gate We Go

Far Cry 5 is on the minds of everyone in the Game Informer offices as of late, having us showcase the silliest things you can do in Hope County to dissecting how well it lands and executes on its themes. Some of us are on Detective Pikachu 's case as well to see how this odd spin-off fares. We've also got some family visiting us during this dreadfully cold weekend in Minnesota ... in April. Wasn't the worst of the subzero weather supposed to pass already? Either way, what are your plans for the weekend? Shoot down to the comments to let us know!

Kyle Hilliard (@KyleMHilliard) – I haven’t spent as much time with Far Cry 5 as I’d like, so I am hoping to fix that this weekend. Same goes for Ni no Kuni II. And Detective Pikachu. I’m also about halfway through The Last Jedi’s director’s commentary, which I hope to finish this weekend, as well. I basically just have a lot of things I need to finish.

Final Fantasy XV Showcases Another Full Year Of DLC Ahead

PAX East is currently entertaining showgoers, and news has emerged from a dedicated panel at that show about the upcoming plans for Final Fantasy XV. If you thought we were done with new content for the game that released in 2016, you’d be wrong. Square Enix has a bevy of new DLC drops on the way.

Four new episodes are scheduled, including ones that focus on Ardyn, Lunafreya, Noctis, and a shorter side story episode that showcases Aranea Highwind. Across the scope of the episodes, the theme being explored is that of an alternate grand finale to the storytline.

This news comes on the heels of a successful run of DLC episodes throughout last year, including stories starring Gladio, Ignis, and Prompto, along with the multiplayer-focused Comrades release. At the recent panel, Square Enix also announced new features like raid bosses for the Comrades expansion, as well as plans for a standalone release of the multiplayer mode.

Fly In With The First Gameplay Trailer

Dragons make everything better, and that's no exception when it comes to Yasuhiro Wada's latest project in his pedigree of slice-of-life simulation video games from Harvest Moon to Story of Seasons. While disparate footage from GDC 2018 and screenshots of Little Dragons Café have been released slowly, official gameplay footage has emerged from its cave with a new trailer showcasing the major features of this vibrant-looking title that looks like it came straight out of a coloring book.

Two siblings are tasked with managing their mother's café shop since she's fallen into a deep sleep, but a wizard appears telling them that they can save her if they rear a baby dragon that he gives them. Not only must they feed and care the dragon around their island, but also fret about gathering ingredients and executing recipes for a diverse set of customers. Exploration and cute, simple mini-games are spread throughout the experience as you test your cooking and multitasking prowess.
