Nicki Minaj Releasing Street Fighter-Inspired Track Tomorrow

We all think Nicki Minaj when we hear or see Street Fighter, right? At least that's probably what the songwriters envision for Minaj's upcoming single titled "Chun-Li."

Minaj announced on her Twitter account that "Chun-Li" will release "everywhere" at 10 a.m. Pacific Time on April 12. The tweet also boasts a picture with Minaj sporting hair buns akin to the famous female fighter, as well as a jaguar-like pattern top and thong. You know, just like Chun-Li does.

New Steam Privacy Settings Shut Down Third-Party Data Counter As Consequence

New Steam Privacy Settings Shut Down Third-Party Data Counter As Consequence

SteamSpy, the leading resource for tracking sales data on the PC digital distribution service Steam, is shutting down as a result of new Steam privacy settings.

Valve has added settings in Steam to hide ownership of games from public view by default. What this means is that games you buy and own on the service can't just be viewed by anyone with access to your Steam profile or the underlying data. It can be opted out of, but it is on by default, and few people are likely to change it.

This causes problems for SteamSpy, which uses and aggregates that public data to display sales numbers for a game on the service. SteamSpy's Twitter account announced yesterday that the service would have to discontinue. With every account's library now going hidden by default, there is no way for the service to grab the data it needs.

Stardew Valley Multiplayer Update Arriving

A multiplayer component has been in the works for Stardew Valley since late last year, which will allow other players to live on and assist with their friend's farms (and if they're feeling romantic, marriage will be an option as well). Progress has been going slow and steady, but developer Eric Barone has given an update on when to expect the much-anticipated mode.

Update on Stardew Valley multiplayer: still making good progress on fixing bugs, if all goes well it should be ready in about a month

In the meantime, you can read Javy Gwaltney's review of Stardew Valley and our impressions of the game on Switch.

Drake Willing To Rap About Fortnite If Epic Makes Hotline Bling Emote

If there's one thing that's been missing from the recent celebrity pop of Fortnite, it's a Hotline Bling emote. Drake just appeared on another stream with Twitch superstar Tyler "Ninja" Blevins, and while this one didn't smash any viewing records, Drake mentioned he would be willing to write a rap about Fortnite if Epic Games would include his iconic dance as an emote.

During the stream, Ninja stoked the flames in favor of the rap, saying that Drake should include some Fortnite lingo on his next album. “It has to happen, it’s just gotta be the right way,” Drake responded. “Someone’s gonna do it. Someone’s gonna pull it off. I say when Epic gives me the emote, when Epic gives me the Hotline Bling emote, I’ll do it. Until then, I’m on strike.”

You can check out the clip from Ninja's stream here.

Grand Theft Auto 4 Removing And Replacing Some Licensed Music

Grand Theft Auto 4 is going to have some of its radio tunes go away later this month.

On April 26, a number of ten year licenses for Grand Theft Auto 4's radio will expire. Much like what happened with San Andreas, this forces Rockstar to remove and replace music from the game if they want to continue to sell it. USGamer got a statement from Rockstar about what's happening with the old music.

"Due to music licensing restrictions," Rockstar told USGamer, "we are required to remove certain songs from the in-game soundtrack of Grand Theft Auto IV and its Episodes, in particular a large portion of the Russian pop station, Vladivostok FM. However we are replacing some of those songs with a new set of songs on that station. We will update our customer support website with new information as soon as it is available."

Square Enix Updates Chrono Trigger PC Release For Classic Graphics Options

Square Enix has begun the task of fixing the PC release of Chrono Trigger with first of several updates designed to make the game look more like its SNES counterpart.

The update today added a new option in the game's graphics settings simply called "Original," removing the filter that blended the port's pixel-art sprites together in a way that was heavily criticized upon release. Fonts and dialogue windows have also been updated in line with the new changes.

The patch notes also mention that this is the first of several changes, as the UI will be fixed and optimized in further updates to allow for better experiences for both controller and keyboard users. There will also be changes to optimize the resolution for the animated cutscenes.

Red Dead Redemption Now Native 4K On Xbox One X

Red Dead Redemption, Rockstar's seminal open-world western from last generation, is now enhanced on Xbox One X.

The news was announced on today's Inside Xbox stream alongside a host of other backwards compatible games and enhancements. Red Dead Redemption now runs at native 4K on the Xbox One X, so console owners with 4K TVs can now play an even better looking version of the game.

Red Dead Redemption joined the Xbox One backwards compatibility list way back in 2016 and was already the best place looking version at the time. As with all backwards compatible games on Xbox One, you can either insert the disc to download a copy of the game or buy it from Xbox Live.

God Of War Difficulty Modes And Customization Outlined

God Of War Difficulty Modes And Customization Outlined

God of War's difficulty modes have remained steady over the franchise's history with the exception of players being able to lower the difficulty in earlier entries. With the latest installment on PlayStation 4, Santa Monica Studio's Jeet Shroff took to the official God of War website to give players a detailed look into the difficulty options this time around.

"Give Me A Story" is for players who just want to experience the story of Kratos and Atreus with a lot of leeway with enemies and challenges. "Give Me A Balanced Experience" is exactly what it purports to be: a well-rounded difficulty that's not too hard or easy. "Give Me A Challenge" seems equivalent to playing on the usual Hard mode, which is simply described as being for those familiar with action games and God of War in general. Lastly, "Give Me God of War" sounds compelling in that it doesn't only make Kratos weaker and enemies stronger, but also enhances the intelligence of AI and their placement with encounters to keep players on their toes.

Westworld Expertly Trolls Fans With Fake Spoilers

Westworld Expertly Trolls Fans With Fake Spoilers

One of the many facets Westworld's first season excelled at was subtly taking popular songs and turning them into saloon-style piano tunes. HBO has carried over that quality to a trolling video that was said to be spoiler-heavy.

Westworld creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy initially said they were out to save season two spoilers by, well, spoiling events after an inquiry on Reddit. The 25-minute video starts out as a seemingly legitimate spoiler-filled reel as Bernard wakes up on a beach with no memories and hazy flashbacks. As Bernard experiences total recall and winds up in the main town of the first season, he comes upon Dolores and Clementine (Rachel Evan Wood and Angela Sarafyan, respectively) playing and singing a somber piano version of Rick Astley's infamous "Never Gonna Give You Up" song.

After the song ends about a minute later, a message reads, "Dear Reddit, from all of us here at Westworld, thank you for watching. We hope you enjoy season two..." The remaining 22 minutes of the video show a dog sitting on the chair of the same piano with the show's score playing and a black and white filter.

Sega Polling For Persona Dancing Crossover Costumes

Sega Polling For Persona Dancing Crossover Costumes

Sega is no stranger to leveraging its brands across various games, such as Persona 5 costumes in Sonic Forces just last year. Now, that cross-branding is going in reverse as Sega is polling which of its IPs would work best as Persona Dancing costumes.

The Twitter poll, which you can find here, lists three different series in this order: Yakuza, Virtua Fighter, and Sonic the Hedgehog. At the time of writing, Yakuza is winning without Sonic far behind, but Virtua Fighter a distant third to both of the other choices. The poll closes in two days, so you better get your votes in while you can.

If you have dreams of dressing Aigis up as Kiryu and having her dance with Akihiko dressed as Goro Majima, or dressing Joker up as Shadow the Hedgehog, this might be your best chance.
