Thanos In Fortnite Has Already Been Nerfed

The Infinity War Thanos event in Fortnite has only been live for a few hours, but Epic is already fixing power problems they see with the mad emperor god.

In a post on the Fortnite subreddit, Epic confirmed a few changes for Thanos already.

It's not a world-changing nerf, but it does make it so that someone having the infinity gauntlet doesn't make it impossible to fight back at all. Though when you're talking about universe-ending powers, anything to make it more fair is going to be a pretty heavy nerf.

June Cover Revealed – Days Gone

Does the world really need another zombie game? That’s one of the many questions we had before heading to Sony Bend Studio’s offices in Oregon to check out Days Gone. After spending a couple of days playing the game and gaining a deeper understanding of what the studio is trying to accomplish, we came back with an enthusiastic yes. You face a massive undead threat, but they’re just part of the dangerous open-world ecology. Virtually everything in this dark vision of the Pacific Northwest wants to separate you from your life. Fortunately, you have the tools you need to survive – including your fully upgradable motorcycle.

In the June issue of Game Informer, we packed 14 pages with exclusive details and developer insight from that trip, including an extensive look at how Sony Bend is working to breathe life not only into the zombie apocalypse, but open-world games in general.

No Virtual Console Planned For Switch

In an email statement to Kotaku, Nintendo has confirmed that there are "currently no plans" to bring the Virtual Console to the Switch.

Yesterday Nintendo further detailed its September online service, including pricing, an NES Classic Games service, and cloud save info. NES – Nintendo Switch Online service is only available to Switch online subscribers, and is launching with 20 games, including Super Mario Bros. 3. Titles in the service include new features such as online multiplayer and voice chat (with the smartphone app).

Before the launch of the system there was some expectation of the Virtual Console on the Switch, but Nintendo would only say it would offer more info later.

The Island From Lost Has Been Recreated In Far Cry 5

If you like Far Cry 5, but don't feel like it has nearly enough mystery, then Far Cry 5 arcade's map creator might have you covered.

Youtube channel Un-Break-Able has managed to recreate the entirety of Lost's mysterious and often paradoxical island from the mid-2000s TV show. It's all there: the beach, the caves, the Dharma Initiative, the lighthouse, all recreated in Far Cry 5's engine. Un-break-able admits that, while feature-wise it is pretty similar to the show's island, the map creator doesn't allow them to make it to scale.

You can check out the video tour below.

Eddie Rigs, Shovel Knight, And Charles Martinet Playable In Runner 3

Eddie Rigs, Shovel Knight, And Charles Martinet Playable In Runner 3

Runner 3, the third game in the series that started as Bit.Trip Runner, features a number of guest characters like Eddie Rigs from Brutal Legend, Shovel Knight, and actor most commonly known as the voice of Mario, Charles Martinet.

Shovel Knight is basically serving his role as the unofficial mascot of indie games as he makes his obligate appearance in every indie game under the sun. Eddie Riggs is making a rare appearance outside of his game, the Double Fine-developed Brutal Legend, though it is unclear if he's still voiced by Jack Black.

The final character is Charles Martinet, an actor and voice actor. Martinet famous voices every member of Nintendo's overall brigade, including Mario, Luigi, Waluigi, and Wario. More crucially, he was also the narrator in the last Runner game, so it seems he's jumping into the fun this time.

Arms Comic Delayed To 2019

Last year, Nintendo and Dark Horse Comics announced an upcoming adaptation of the fighting games Arms would debut on Free Comic Book Day and launch in the Fall. The first introductory comic did debut, but so did an announcement of a delay to 2019.

The comic, which is written by Ian Flynn of Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog fame, was part of a double issue given away on Free Comic Book Day with a Legend of Korra comic. On the back cover, a small blurb says the full comic will be released in January 2019 and will tell the story of Spring-Man's efforts to overcome 600 opponents standing in his way.

In a recent financial report, Nintendo revealed that Arms has sold nearly two million copies since its release last year.
