The Final Season Of Telltale's Walking Dead Premieres In August

about X hours ago from

Telltale announced a few months back that The Walking Dead, the series that put the company on the map, would be drawing to a close with a final season that would be released in 2018. That season now has a release date, thanks to an exclusive trailer from IGN: August 14.

The trailer itself is brooding and features both Clem and AJ, the little boy Clem has taken care of for two seasons now, sitting over a river, going over the rules that keep people alive in this bleak universe. The trailer ends ominously, with Clem asking AJ to tell her what he needs to do if she gets bit.

New Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse Trailer Shows Miles Morales In Action

about X hours ago from

Filmmakers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are bringing Spider-Man back to theaters on December 14 in a new animated film called Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. In the first full-length trailer for this beautifully animated project, we see an older Peter Parker mentoring Miles Morales, teaching him the ropes to become the next Spider-Man. The footage also shows us that more familiar faces are joining the Spider-Verse.

Miller and Lord are no strangers to animated films, making a name for themselves with the successful The Lego Movie. The film stars Shameik Moore as Miles, Jake Johnson as Peter, and also features the voice work of Hailee Steinfeld, Mahershala Ali, Liev Schreiber, and Luna Lauren Valez.

With the live-action Spider-Man swinging over to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it's nice to see Sony Pictures Entertainment doing something different with the Spider-Man license.

Superhero Tropes Abound As Overwatch Footage Meets The Infinity War Trailer

If you're a day one viewer, Infinity War might already be old news and you're eagerly awaiting the sequel next year. It might help the wait to take Overwatch's CGI videos and set them to the Infinity War trailer, though.

YouTuber Salty Phish has done exactly that, taking footage from the Overwatch CGI shorts and applying them to the audio from Infinity War's trailer. It's low investment and syncs up surprisingly well.

Overwatch's anniversary event is currently ongoing for another week until June 11.

[Update] The Pokémon Company Clarifies Let’s Go Games' Online Functionality

Update 6/5/18: News about the the Let's Go games' online connectivity was a bit muddled; originally it had been announced the game would not utilize Nintendo Switch's online service, leading some to believe the game would be offline-only. At a Q&A session after the conference, however, designer Junichi Masuda said the game would feature both local and Wi-fi play.

We've now received clarification from The Pokémon Company regarding the Let's Go games' online situation. In a statement to Game Informer, the company said both games will have online capabilities, but they'll be limited compared to previous Pokémon games. Players will only be able to battle and trade Pokémon with their friends. "There is no GTS, Wonder Trade, or Battle Spot (Rating Battle, Free Battle, and Online Competition, etc.)," the company said. Players will also need to sign up for a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to access them.

The Pokémon Company also said it would provide additional details at a later date.
