Gears 5 Among Three Newly Revealed Gears Of Wars Titles

Microsoft unveiled a trio of games set in the Gears of War universe during its E3 2018 press conference, and they couldn't be more different from one another. The games include Gears of War 5, as well as a tactical strategy game and a mobile game based on the ubiquitous FunkoPop! characters.

Gears of War 5 continues the story as it left off in Gears 4. Kait is on a journey to learn the origins of the necklace that she acquired from her mother. As fans know, there are strong clues that connect Kait's family to the swarm, which could mean any number of things as we move forward. From what we saw from the teaser clip, it's clear that Kait isn't going into this personal mission with the full confidence of her superiors.

It's coming to Xbox One and Windows 10 in 2019.

Battletoads Returns On Xbox One With A Brand New Game Next Year

about X hours ago from

The notoriously difficult Battletoads series is making a return next year, with an Xbox One-exclusive title.

While the initial reveal trailer was brief and did not include gameplay, we saw some feature bullet points: as per the original arcade and NES game, up to three players can play together on their couch (taking on, we assume, the roles of Zit, Rash, or Pimple).

While the new Xbox One title will feature 2.5D hand-drawn 4K art, it will also have "Body Morphing Genre Mash-Ups," something that was a big draw for the original game (along with its extreme difficulty).

Dying Light 2 Revealed

about X hours ago from

During the Microsoft E3 event, developer Techland showcased a trailer and gameplay demo for Dying Light 2.  The trailer showed off all the parkour and bloody melee combat thrills of the original game, but a follow-up clip with a presentation from narrative designer Chris Avellone ( Fallout: New Vegas, Planescape: Torment) included scenes that demonstrated how the game's city worked, with power struggles between factions, as well as ecosystems.

According to Avellone, players will make choices that shape the future of the city and which factions emerge victoriously, and the consequences of that victory. In the example we saw, whoever controlled the water supply determined which parts of the population suffered and thrived. You can watch the trailer right here:
