Base Goku And Base Vegeta Are The Next Dragon Ball FighterZ DLC Characters

In a spread in Japanese magazine V-Jump, Bandai Namco has revealed the next two DLC characters for Dragon Ball FighterZ: Base Goku and Base Vegeta.

The two characters are the non-Super Saiyan versions of the characters, with Vegeta specifically having his tail from his first fight with Goku. Goku has the power to use Kaioken to chain combos together, as well as a Super Spirit Bomb which is the strongest move in the game while also being exceptionally slow. Kaioken gets stronger with each KO'd partner on the team, functioning similarly to X-Factor for Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

Base Vegeta has his Galick Gun attack, as well as a Galaxy Breaker attack where Vegeta shoots energy out of his entire body. The new DLC characters line up with a leak from earlier this year, indicating that the remaining DLC characters will be Android 17 and Cooler.

Destiny 2's Solstice Of Heroes Event Rewards Revealed

Bungie revealed details of Destiny 2's Solstice of Heroes event, including the armor and other rewards players can unlock after the event begins on July 31.

Talking to Ikora Rey will give players access to a new social space, where a statue of three guardians will allow players to track their Moments of Triumph progress.

Interacting with the statue grants players a set of Power 240 "Scorched" armor that can be upgraded to a Power 340 "Rekindled" set, then to a Power 400 "Resplendent" set. Masterwork versions of the Resplendent set can then be unlocked through more challenges. Bungie also added that the look of the Scorched (which it also referred to as "Shattered") and Rekindled sets will be available as ornaments for the Resplendent set.

Talking to Ikora Rey will give players access to a new social space, where a statue of three guardians will allow players to track their Moments of Triumph progress. The space, shown briefly in the following developer insights video, appears to be the central area of the Tower from the first Destiny game, the same area where players fight off the Red Legion with Commander Zavala at the beginning of Destiny 2's campaign.

The Culling 2 Will Be Removed From Digital Storefronts

The Culling 2 officially released last week... but it's getting de-released in the near future. In a video message to the community released today, developer Xaviant's Josh Van Veld lays out how the studio is responding to the poor reception The Culling 2 has received, and that response includes removing the game from digital storefronts.

According to Van Veld, the team at Xaviant will now be refocusing on the original The Culling. Part of that plan is to release the day-one version of the game (before tweaks and updates) on a test server, so players can access the original title that drew them in.

To hear more about Xaviant's plans to make good with The Culling's community, you can watch the full video message below. If you don't know what The Culling is, you can get a flavor for the game by watching us play the closed alpha version back before it released.
