Pick Your Sneaker Allegiance In Goku Vs. Frieza Matchup

For sneakerheads who also long to go Super Saiyan, Adidas is releasing the first couple designs in its Dragon Ball Z collection in August.

The initial two pairs are a classic match-up; the blue, orange, and yellow of Son Goku vs Frieza's purple and white. No pricing information is available yet, but there's really no price too high for the airborne martial arts that these are surely designed for.

Along with Goku and Frieza, storebyjc on Instagram has pics of Cell's design, which is the best looking in the official opinion of Game Informer.

GT Sport's July Update Adds Car Microtransactions

GT Sport continues to evolve, with the latest update not only adding expected elements like a new circuit (with three layouts), eight cars, and additional events for the GT League, but also some slightly unexpected ones – namely the ability to purchase most of the cars in the game via microtransactions.

Cars costing less than two million in-game credits can be bought for the title, with the more expensive ones only unlockable through play. Every car is still available for game credits and none of them are only available with real money. Polyphony says this was done for the convenience of busy players, and the game's overall structure remains unchanged.

At the update's launch, the prices appear to range from $.99 to $2.99.

Portal 2 Co-Writer Jay Pinkerton Returns To Valve

Jay Pinkerton, a former Cracked editor, joined Valve in 2008 to work on the Left 4 Dead series. Eventually Pinkerton winded up co-writing the story for the infamously hilarious Portal 2. Last year, he departed from the company amidst continued cries that Valve was pivoting hard from its former, strong single-player design to something more service-based with DOTA 2 and Artifact. Pinkerton's departure followed the in the wake of several other writers leaving, including Erik Wolpaw (Half-Life 2: Episode One and Two) and Chet Faliszek (also Portal 2).

However, as savvy Redditors noticed yesterday, Pinkerton has quietly returned to Valve's stable of writers. PC Gamer was able to confirm the writer's re-employment with an email from Valve itself.
