Whatever your personal feelings on virtual reality are, you can't deny that people are intrigued by the technology. That's evidenced by Sony Interactive Entertainment's recent announcement on the PlayStation Blog that it has sold 3 million PSVR systems.
The company used the milestone as a reason to unveil a few other bits of PSVR-related info, like the announcement of two new games. The first is a boxing game called Creed: Rise to Glory, and the other is a shooter called Evasion.
The company also revealed the top 10 most-played games on PSVR. Topping the list is The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (which we called "the worst way to experience Skyrim" in our review), but we also see titles like Job Simulator, Batman: Arkham VR, and Superhot VR.

We got a chance to sit down with Blizzard around the time of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct and, with Smash Bros. on our minds and Diablo III coming to Switch, we had to ask: who would Blizzard want as a guest character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate?
Blizzard senior producer Pete Stilwell laughed, but gave a quick answer. "Personally, yeah, I'd love to have Diablo. That to me is the immediate one. Then if we had over time, eventually the heroes, go through all of them...or you could go really awesome and only have Deckard Cain."
Joshua Wittge, Blizzard PR manager, chimed in to add "He could just whack them with the cane or put them to sleep."

With Diablo III on Switch having been revealed, the question of whether there's any Nintendo-specific content to get Switch fans on board with the action RPG is an obvious one. So obvious, in fact, that it's the very first thing we asked Blizzard when they showed us the game.
The PlayStation 4 version of the game took your characters into a dimension of infected monsters from The Last of Us, which obviously isn't present in the Switch version. Instead, some Legend of Zelda easter eggs are present to remind you of times cruising Hyrule.
The first and most major piece of content is Ganondorf transmogrification. You can take your armor in the game with all the stats you like and make it, and your character, look like Zelda's longtime villain. The design is based on Ganondorf's Twilight Princess design, the last time the human form of Ganondorf has been seen in a mainline Zelda title.

In what is clearly the best-kept secret of all time, Blizzard has revealed that Diablo III, the 2012 loot-and-dungeon action game first released on PC, is coming to Nintendo Switch later this year. It marks the first time Blizzard has worked with Nintendo since the Nintendo 64 version of Starcraft almost 18 years ago.
The Nintendo Switch version of Diablo III contains all the content made for the game so far, like the Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer expansions, on one cart. The main game and the expansions are available from the moment you launch the title, giving you access to the entire suite of Diablo III content immediately.
There's also some Nintendo-specific content in the game for Switch fans hoping to check out the game for the first time or returning players looking for a hint of Nintendo-themed trim around the edges. You can learn more about that content here.

Variety reports that Disney CEO Alan Horn took a courtesy meeting with Gunn. Though the publication describes the meeting as civil, Disney and Marvel aren't reversing the decision.
It is currently unknown who will replace Gunn and whether or not they'll use the his script.

Rumors of Diablo III coming to Nintendo Switch have been circulating since Blizzard tweeted a light switch connected to a Diablo nightlight that was being flicked up and down.
Finally, it seems those rumors are true. A deleted article from Forbes stated that Diablo III is coming to Nintendo's handhelds system sometime this year.
The package will reportedly include Diablo III, Reaper of Souls, and the Necromancer class as well as a special Ganondorf-themed armor set. Up to four friends can battle together online or on a single Switch system. We reached out to Blizzard for an official statement, but they declined to comment.

According to a number of sources connected to ESPN, Activision Blizzard is finalizing a deal to sell a new slot in its professional Overwatch esports league. The new team is expected to sell for $35 million and will be run by the esports organization Splyce. This is an impressive bump in the sales price, since the 12 franchises from season one initially sold for $20 million.
The owners of this Toranto team will be Canadian entrepreneur Michael Kimel, his family, and Splyce investor OverActive Media. Kimel is also a minority owner of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
A few weeks ago, Atlanta and Guangzhou teams joined the Overwatch League. Activision Blizzard Esports Leagues CEO Pete Vlastelica said the league anticipates selling six slots across North America, Europe and Asia-Oceania. Free agency for expansion teams begins on September 9.
