Nintendo Reveals Halloween Event For Splatoon 2

It's that time of year for companies to take part in my favorite phenomenon: seasonal video game content. Nintendo rarely gets involved in such a thing, but with live games being in their wheelhouse now, it makes sense for them to jump in with Splatoon 2 and the upcoming Splatoween event.

Get ready to get spooky because #Splatoween is coming to #Splatoon2! This special #Splatfest asks you to pick a side: Trick or Treat? The eerie event runs from Friday, 10/19 at 3pm PT, to Sunday, 10/21 at 3pm PT - 48 hours total! pic.twitter.com/UEjuN5dHRH

The culmination of the event is ultimately a Halloween-themed Splatest pitting players on the sides of tricking or treating. Like other Splatfests, this part will only run for two days and occur close to the middle of the month. Before that, though, Nintendo also has some scary new outfits for Inklings to wear. They'll be distributed through the Switch's news channel, which will contain portal links to unlock them in the game.

Overcooked 2 Gets Sunny Island DLC Available Now

It's been a long year and you're ready to go on vacation, but also don't really feel like leaving the house, then Team 17 has got you covered with their newly-announced and freshly-available Surf 'n' Turf DLC for Overcooked 2. Now you can check out island food with new missions available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. Check out the trailer below.

The Surf 'n' Turf DLC includes 12 new story levels, new menu items like skewers and smoothies, a water pistol that lets you clean plates from a distance, and three new chefs to play around with. They say that people tend to fight more on vacation and I can't imagine anything that would better test that theory than vacations mixed with Overcooked.

The DLC is available now on all the platforms you can play Overcooked 2 on for $5.99.

Netflix Series Brings Darker Twist To Sabrina The Teenage Witch

Netflix Series Brings Darker Twist To Sabrina The Teenage Witch

Netflix has an ominous-looking show ready for the Halloween season. While Sabrina the Teenage Witch has had a fun-loving tone in past iterations, from the Archie comics to the '90s sitcom, Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is making things a lot creepier.

The trailer, which debuted today, reintroduces familiar characters like protagonist Sabrina Spellman alongside Harvey and her aunts Hilda and Zelda.

As a half witch and half mortal, Sabrina must make a choice on her sixteenth birthday between the witch world and her human world. From the executive producers of Riverdale, this new story brings dark magic and horror. Judging from the trailer, which plays the happy-go-lucky song Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen in the background, could maybe have some hints of comedy horror too.

The Quiet Man is a strange brawler-FMV hybrid that caught everyone's attention for its weirdness during Square Enix's E3 press conference. If you forgot what we're talking about here, here's the trailer to refresh your memory:

Odd, right? What the heck even is this game? Well, it won't take long for us to find out. Square-Enix just announced the game's out on November 1 for PC and PS4.
