Bungie Dates Destiny 2 Cross Save & Account-Link Features

Bungie is moving from Activision Blizzard's Battle.Net launcher over to Steam on October 1 (a delay from the original September 17 date), but before then players can link their PC accounts and saves.

On August 20 you can link your PC player accounts to start transitioning your Guardians and purchases, and the next day on August 21 Cross Save launches. Cross Save enables players to select an active group of characters and play them on any connected accounts across different platforms.

Bungie is coordinating this migration process with not only the move from Battle.Net to Steam, but also with the Shadowkeep and New Light additions. Their release dates were recently moved from September 17 to October 1

Hello Games Is Interested In No Man's Sky On Switch

On August 14th Hello Games is launching No Man's Sky Beyond, a large free update that will add full VR support, online multiplayer for 16-32 players (platform dependent), and a batch of other frequently requested features like animal riding. The small team is continuing to work on and optimize No Man's Sky technology (you can read more about that in our GDC interview) and, in a recent interview with Sean Murray, we asked whether we'd ever see the expansive sci-fi game ported to the Nintendo Switch.

"It's super interesting," says Murray. "I love the Switch. We're obviously very focused on what we're doing right now, but we have done a lot of work for PSVR to optimize the game. So I'd be interested to see what's possible. But at the moment, we're just very focused on what we're doing right now."

No Man's Sky Beyond releases on August 14th as a free update to the existing game, with a new PlayStation 4 retail disc launching in September as well. You can read our full preview of the game and more from our interview with Sean Murray by clicking here. To learn more about why we were so impressed by playing No Man's Sky in VR, check out our video impressions below.

Children Of Morta Launches In Mid-October

Children of Morta, the roguelike RPG that was originally supposed to release in 2018, finally has a much firmer release date. Fans have been looking forward to the dark, story-driven roguelike that puts you in the role of a mother looking for a sacrificed child, but the release date has been floating for most of the year. The game will find its footing on multiple consoles very soon on October 15.

You can check out the release date trailer below.

The game releases on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC on October 15. You can read our most recent impressions here.

Final Game List For TurboGrafx-16 Miniconsole Revealed

Final Game List For TurboGrafx-16 Miniconsole Revealed

It hasn't been talked about much, but Konami is prepping their own miniconsole for release later next year. Like the NES, SNES, and Genesis Classic, the Turbo-Grafx 16 trailer includes a collection of games that were released on the system and were emulated by ace retro emulation studio M2.

You can check out the final trailer below.

As a very arcade-heavy focus, the console is pretty loaded with shooters and side-scrolling brawlers, but there's definitely an audience for that time and place. I'm really jazzed about Splatterhouse, though. The TG-16 version is probably my favorite one, though I am not sure it gets me over the finish line to get this console just for that. There's definitely a lot to play on the console, though.

SteamWorld Quest Gets A 2.0 Update With Major Changes

SteamWorld Quest Gets A 2.0 Update With Major Changes

SteamWorld Quest is likely the most divisive of the SteamWorld games, which reinvents itself with every different entry in the series, but the people it spoke to really seemed to dig it. Those that finished the game and find themselves wanting more will now get the chance with a new update, which basically adds a remixed mode to the New Game Plus option after you have beaten the game.

You can see the developers from Image & Form talk about it in their new developer diary here.

The new update adds a Legend Remix difficulty, which they themselves describe as "super hard," and remixes the gameplay to add some twists instead of just a regular old New Game Plus mode. The update will also add concept art, official "fan" art from the team, a jukebox, HD rumble for Switch, and more. There's not a lot of details yet, but people who thought Legend difficulty was too easy now have something else to sink their teeth into.

FL4K The Beastmaster Joins The Hunt In New Borderlands 3 Trailer

The final trailer for the last of the four new Vault Hunters has arrived, and FL4K the Beastmaster and his three loyal and fearsome pets are ready to kill. Meet the pack in the newest character trailer.

FL4K has three pets of different varieties, each with its own abilities. First is a Spiderant in the Hunter skill tree with a drill for a leg and a penchant for killing. The Jabber, of the Stalker skill tree, is eager to please. The Skag, in the Master skill tree, is a deadly beast who just wants to have fun. On top of these three pets, FL4K can also summon Rakks to fly into battle after expanding the Hunter tree.

FL4K, a marksman, is an emergent A.I. on a never-ending hunt. What exactly is he hunting for? You'll have to wait for Borderlands 3 to find out. Borderlands 3 is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 13. For the other hunter trailers follow the links for Zane, Amara, and Moze.

Netflix Reveals First Glimpse Of The Witcher's Roach

Netflix has revealed the first look of Geralt's horse, Roach, from its upcoming adaptation of The Witcher. If you were worried that Hollywood would replace his trusty steed with a boat, tentacled monster, or animated cartoon, don't worry – it's a horse.

More specifically, it's a brown horse. With some white around the nose part of its face. Maybe it has white parts by its hooves, too? We'll have to wait to find out. And that's about all I have say about Roach for now.

Look for the Witcher (and more Roach!) later this year on Netflix. And if you haven't seen them already, you can take a look at some of the cast members and the poster over here.

Tetris Effect Coming To PC Next Week

Tetris Effect was one of the best games of last year, according to you dear readers. At release, the game was exclusive to PlayStation 4 and, thus, the PlayStation VR for all its virtual reality functionality. Tetris fans have long been asking when the game might come to other platforms and, at least as far as PC goes, that question can finally be answered. Tetris Effect is landing on PC via the Epic Games Store on July 23.

The PC version of Tetris Effect will support 4K resolution, graphical options that weren't present on the PlayStation 4, support for VR headsets like Vive and Rift, uncapped framerate, and more. Check out the PC announce trailer below.

The VR aspect will also have things like adjustable particle size and volume, texture filtering, and other options that Enhance Games will detail later.

PES 2020 Adds Exclusive Juventus License

PES 2020 Adds Exclusive Juventus License

EA Sports has a long history of signing exclusivity deals for its sports franchises. The publisher infamously signed an exclusive agreement with the NFL, killing the upstart NFL 2K franchise and securing the professional football domain for Madden. EA's FIFA series has also operated with the same edict, signing exclusive deals to prevent La Liga, Bundesliga, Premier League, and most recently the Champions League from officially appearing in the rival PES soccer game. Now, Konami has signed a big exclusive of its own.

Today the Japanese publisher revealed an exclusive agreement to be the exclusive video game partner to Juventus FC, the storied Italian club with 35 Serie A titles, two Champions League titles, and a Netflix show to its name. The club joins Barcelona FC, Bayern Munchen, and Manchester United as clubs with official license deals with PES. The length of the deal is unknown.

FIFA 20 won't have the Juventus shield and kit in the game, but EA still has the license for all of its players, who will appear across all the game modes. Juventus will be replaced in Serie A by the fictitious Piedmonte Calcio side.

This Devil May Cry 5 Kylo Ren Conversion Mod Just Does What We Were All Thinking Anyway

This Devil May Cry 5 Kylo Ren Conversion Mod Just Does What We Were All Thinking Anyway

There are two types of people in the world: those who immediately recognized V from Devil May Cry 5 as Kylo Ren from Star Wars and those who saw it after being told. While Capcom denied any sort of influence from actor Adam Driver, thankfully mods are here to just fully complete the thought for us.

This video, which does contain some spoilers from DMC5, is a suite of cutscenes from the games modded to replace V's outfit with one that more closely resembles Ren's, complete with a cross-shaped lightsaber instead of his cane. Granted, it doesn't act exactly like a lightsaber, considering V/Ren grabs it by the light part and points it around, maybe that still somewhat fits with the Sith's masochistic and self-abusive personality.

Check out the video below.
