Twitter Implementation In Swords & Sworcery Being Removed For Switch

Twitter Implementation In Swords & Sworcery Being Removed For Switch

When Swords & Sworcery released way back in 2011, it had the extremely interesting quality of all dialogue being limited to 145 characters per box. This meant that any dialogue in the game could be tweeted to your Twitter account, thus explaining the contextless dialogue you saw seven years ago when the game launched. It was a neat feature, though ultimately kind of pointless.

Now, developer Capybara has announced that the Switch version of Swords & Sworcery, which was announced in an indie direct today, will not have that feature. Why? Because Twitter kind of sucks now.

Please note: Twitter support has been cut from the #Sworcery #Switch Edition. The reason for this is simple: When we first launched #Sworcery many moons ago, Twitter was fun & nice & cool. Now, in the year 2018, Twitter is a vat of toxic waste and we want nothing to do with it.

Report: Matt Smith From Dr. Who Cast In Star Wars: Episode IX

According to a report from Variety, Matt Smith has been cast in the newest Star Wars movie in a key role.

While Smith is most recently known his Emmy-nominated role in Netflix's The Crown as Prince Phillip, but is likely best known for being the eleventh Dr. Who from the years of 2010 - 2014. He also played the Doctor in the related video games and Lego Worlds' Dr. Who set.

Variety was not able to say whether Smith would be one of the good guys or one of the bad, but British accents can end up on either side. We'll have to wait until December 2019 to find out for sure when Star Wars: Episode IX releases in theaters.

Get New Skins In Overwatch For D.Va With Nano Cola Challenge

Blizzard has revealed new skins for D.Va and her Meka as well as other sprays and cosmetics as part of a Nano Cola Challenge, taking the name of D.Va's very fictional drink with clearly no real world analogue. You can check out the trailer showing off the skins and sprays below.

For two of the sprays, an icon, and a skin, you'll need to win a certain number of games. The sprays show D.Va as she appears in the game and the new skin has her sporting a ponytail versus her usual hair down and pinned back.

There's also other sprays with the gremlin D.Va, everyone's favorite super-deformed Mountain Dew Nano Cola-drinking pro-gamer. To get these, you need to link your Blizzard account to Twitch and watch a certain number of hours of streams being endorsed by Blizzard between August 28 (that's today!) to September 10 (that's a while from now!). You can find the full list of streams here.
