505 Games To Publish Next Game From Far Cry 4 Director

Alex Hutchinson left Ubisoft Montreal last year after working on both Far Cry 4 and the Assassin's Creed franchise. Now Hutchinson has helped form a new development house called Typhoon Studios along with former Warner Bros. Montreal developers Yassine Riahi and Reid Schneider.

The team hasn't announced its next project yet, but given its pedigree, we're curious to see what they turn out.

Alphabear 2 Releases Suddenly For Mobile Worldwide

Alphabear, the grid-based word game about creating bears using your vocabulary skills, has suddenly gotten a sequel and released after certain test regions received it last month in preparation for a worldwide launch.

Hey people, Alphabear 2, the bigger and better sequel to the original Alphabear, is now AVAILABLE WORLDWIDE!!! Download it! https://t.co/lqYbKbtWiU :-D pic.twitter.com/qzbXgEVfrx

The original Alphabear was sort of a hybrid of crossword puzzles and addictive bear-creating shenanigans that had a light but fun social media hook to it. The sequel looks to expand on the original formula by improving all the features that were in the first game and adding smart dictionary content as a tool for helping to learn English.

Free Spider-Man PlayStation 4 Theme Available Now

Many of you will soon be swinging across New York City in the spider suit of your choice. Waiting until Friday to experience this thrill is undoubtedly difficult. If you want to make it even more unbearable, you can download a free Spider-Man theme for your PlayStation 4. Every time you boot up the system, you'll see the game you desperately want to play.

The theme's art is from comic book artist Marko Djurdjević, who worked on Marvel's Amazing Spider-Man, Thor, and numerous other series. The art shows Spidey facing off against Rhino and Scorpion, two of the game's new take on the Sinister Six.

Forgotton Anne Is Coming To Switch In 2019

Forgotton Anne Is Coming To Switch In 2019

ThroughLine Games' twisted story of animated objects living in a secret world is engaging and worthy of your time, especially if you are looking for choice-driven narrative experiences. And in 2019, you will be able to play it on Switch. Square Enix Collective announced the Switch port on Twitter earlier this morning, but didn't go into specifics. The tweet carries the vague message of "more details soon." We don't know if developer ThroughLine Games is attached to this port.

I reviewed the Xbox One version when the game originally released on multiple systems, and found the story to be every bit as fascinating as it is weird, but the gameplay, which focuses mostly on conversations and environmental puzzles, pulled the experience down a bit. "Forgotton Anne is slow and clunky and a bit frustrating at times, but it has its heart in the right place when it comes to story, which challenges the player morally and concludes with a satisfying choice."

I know that critique carries some warning signals, but keep this one on your radar. In the days, weeks, and months that followed my playthrough, I only grew to appreciate it more for its unique story and fascinating world.

Sly Cooper Statue On The Way From Gaming Heads

Sly Cooper Statue On The Way From Gaming Heads

Sucker Punch Productions is hard at work on Ghost of Tsushima, but that doesn't mean we can't remember the studio's previous work with a pricey statue based on Sly Cooper 3: Honor Among Thieves. This beautiful 13.5-inch polystone sculpt is created by Gaming Head, and is limited to just 750 pieces. This "Classic" edition carries a $279.99 price point. Preorders are now open.

An alternate bronze version is also available for the same price, yet only 350 are being made. Both statues are expected to ship and hit retail shelves in the second quarter of 2019.

This isn't Gaming Heads' first Sly Cooper statue. A more action-packed pose based on Sly's first PlayStation game is still available as a bronze edition.
