Yoshi's Crafted World Coming To Switch In Spring

After last week's Nintendo Direct was postponed due to the earthquake in Japan, the name Yoshi's Crafted World briefly appeared on Nintendo's website. It turns out that name was accurate, as it was officially announced during today's rescheduled Nintendo Direct presentation.

Yoshi's Crafted World takes place in a world make of items like boxes and paper cups. Though the scenery is different from his more recent woolly outing, the friendly dino's moveset is familiar. Yoshi can gobble enemies and toss eggs at targets. However, that doesn't mean Yoshi doesn't have some new tricks up his sleeve. Yoshi can turn the stage upside down or flip the perspective to access new areas and even play the courses backwards.

Players can also take part in local cooperative play. Yoshi's Crafted World is set to hit Switch in spring.

Final Fantasy VII, IX, X, X-2, XII, Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon, And World Of Final Fantasy Are Coming To Switch In 2019

During today's Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced that multiple Final Fantasy games in both the mainline series and spinoffs are coming. Final Fantasy VII, IX, X, X-2, Final Fantasy XII, Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon, and World of Final Fantasy (titled Maxima) are coming to Switch, in addition to the previously announced Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles and Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition.

This is the first time the PlayStation Final Fantasy games have ever been ported to another console, long-assumed to be locked to Sony hardware due to an early-2000s investment Sony made in Squaresoft. Sony sold off their stake in Square recently, perhaps paving the way for the Japanese RPG giant to release the well-loved Final Fantasy games elsewhere.

World of Final Fantasy Maxima releases November 6, Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition releases today, Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon is this winter, while everything else is 2019.

Super Mario Party Is Still A Thing On Switch

Super Mario Party Is Still A Thing On Switch

During Nintendo's recent direct, we saw a few new mini games, such as a dance game that required players to shake the joy-cons, and a co-op game that had players to working together to race down a river and catch fish. The game also allows you to use two Switches, in a mode that we still find confusing. Character specific dice might also help you get the leg up on your friends. Fortunately, all 80 mini-games are brand new.

Super Mario Party releases on October 5. Hopefully it's to a pity party.

New Super Mario Bros U Goes Deluxe On Switch

Take down Bowers with up to three friends on the Switch as the classic side scrolling 2D platformer for Wii U returns on the Switch.

Players will be able to play as Mario, Luigi, or Toad just like in the original game. However, the Switch version adds Nabbit and Toadette to the mix. Nabbit doesn't take damage from enemies while Toadette has the unique ability to transform into Peachette who can double jump, float, and get a boost back up if she falls into a pit.

This package also comes with New Super Luigi U, which was a remix version of the game staring Luigi that featured 164 more challenging levels.
