NHL 19 Predicts The Toronto Maple Leafs Will Break Their Half-Century Stanley Cup Drought

Fifty years removed from its last Stanley Cup, the Toronto Leafs went all-in on gunning for a championship this year thanks to the signing of all-star center John Tavares. The Toronto native joins an impressive lineup of skill, with up-and-comers like Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, and William Nylander (provided he and the team can agree on a contract) rounding out a formidable offensive lineup. According to EA Sports' season sim, this team has what it takes to make it to the top.

The NHL 19 simulation has the Leafs taking down the Erik Karlsson-led San Jose Sharks in a dramatic game seven on home ice. Last year's Stanley Cup champions, the Washington Capitals, fell into old form with a first-round exit. The season had a few other surprises, like the Buffalo Sabres making the playoffs for the first time since the 2010-11 season thanks to the contributions of Calder Memorial Trophy winner and last year's number one overall pick, Rasmus Dahlin.

UFC 3 Notorious Edition Hits Today To Celebrate Conor McGregor's Octagon Return

In honor of Conor McGregor’s return and his upcoming fight with the current undefeated champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, EA just released the UFC 3 Notorious Edition for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Billed as a chance to “fight before the fight,” the Notorious Edition lets you add Conor McGregor, the former Ultimate Fighting Championship featherweight and lightweight champion, to your UFC 3 Ultimate Team.

If Conor McGregor is not at the top of your list, the $29.99 edition gives players the choice of four other “champion” fighters – Georges St-Pierre, Demetrious Johnson, Joanna Jędrzejczyk, and Anderson Silva. Additionally, it includes 500 UFC Ultimate Team Points, five Notorious Ultimate Team Packs, and exclusive cover art. Also available today, all UFC 3 owners can download free content including two new fighters: Sean O’Malley and Israel Adesanya. A new "Hall of Fame" version of former women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is also now available for all UFC 3 owners.

The UFC 3 Notorious Edition is a limited-time offer only available through October 15. If you’re on the fence, read our review of UFC 3. You can also check out our predictions for the Conor McGregor/Khabib fight here or see us play UFC 3 with then-flyweight champion Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson here.

Firaxis Announces XCOM 2: War Of The Chosen Tactical Legacy Pack

Firaxis isn't done giving XCOM fans more ways to fight off their alien oppressors. Today the company announced the Tactical Legacy Pack, a sizeable content drop free to all PC users.

Releasing October 9 and available for free on Steam until 12:59 PM ET on December 3, the expansion delivers a host of new ways to play. The legacy mode includes a new skirmish mode, offline challenges, and legacy operations that feature four brand new stories that take place between the events of Enemy Unknown and War of the Chosen. These new missions – which don't require any base management – feature many remasters of fan-favorite locations from the series' past.

Creative director Jake Solomon goes into more detail in the video below.
