Report: Telltale Has Let Go Its Remaining Developers

It's an understatement to say that the people working at Telltale have had a horrendous past month after the company let 225 employees go without severance. It was initially reported that a skeleton crew was staying on to finish "fulfill the company's obligations to its board and partners."

Today, one of Telltale's Narrative Designers, Rachel Noel, has revealed that the company has let go of the remaining employees:

Heeeeyyyy remember how there was going to be a skeleton crew staying on for a while and I was part of it? Nah, jk, we all just got laid off, too.

Chris Evans Tweets Wistful Message After Wrapping Latest Avengers Movie

The following story contains publicly known information about the next Avengers movie officially released by the actors and creators. Not everyone keeps up on that, though, so if you don't want to know anything, turn away now.

After this year's Infinity War, fans have been eager to see how the ending of the movie resolves itself with 2019's release of the next Avengers movie. The Infinity War follow-up ends the first major arc of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which means some actors are also retiring from roles they've played for years. Chris Evans, who has played Captain America since the 2011 film introducing him to the MCU, has been vocal about only seeing the character out until the end of the arc.

The next Avengers movie wrapped up filming today, leaving Evans feeling wistful about the role.

Mega Man Getting His Own Live Action Film Directed By Catfish Creators

Ever since the Resident Evil movies, which were wildly successful in the context of their budgets, Capcom has been in love with the idea of adapting their popular properties to film. There have been rumors of the company shopping around Dino Crisis, Onimusha, and Lost Planet to movie studios, and a Monster Hunter movie directed by Paul W.S. Anderson is already in the works. Now, it seems the developer's mascot character is also getting a shot at Hollywood fame.

The movie, currently just titled Mega Man, is written and directed Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, best known for the movies Catfish and the third and fourth Paranormal Activity movies. Mega Man will be live-action, though it is unclear if that means it will be entirely so or a mix of live-action and CG like the Sonic the Hedgehog movie currently filming.

Capcom appears to be seeking a revival of sorts for their well-rested fighting robot, announcing the movie hot on the heels of the release of Mega Man 11 and shortly after the premiere of the cartoon series Mega Man: Fully Charged. You can find our review of Mega Man 11 right here.

Rebuilt and Remastered The Room is Coming to Nintendo Switch

On October 18, The Room will be coming to the Nintendo Switch in its console debut. Team17 in Partnership with Fireproof Games announced that the game, originally released in 2012, has been completely rebuilt to take advantage of the Switch’s touch screen in handheld mode and they have implemented new motion control in TV mode with the Joy-Con controllers.

Described as a “physical puzzler wrapped inside a mystery game,” The Room invites you to an abandoned attic which holds a mysterious safe. The story is minimal, the clues cryptic, and to solve each puzzle you must manipulate and investigate the eerie space around you.

The Room will be available on the Nintendo Switch eShop on October 18 for $9.99. For more information on the series, read our review of The Room: Old Sins, which came out earlier this year.
