Update: GOG's community has chosen Shadow Warriors 2. You have two days to download the game here.

The digital distribution platform GOG.com is celebrating its 10-year anniversary by offering something nice to its community. Today the CD Projekt owned company announced a free game giveaway for all its users.

If you head to the site (which received a nice visual overhaul for the occasion) right now you can vote on which game will be made free on October 4. Once the community makes its decision between Firewatch, Superhot, or Shadow Warrior 2, the chosen game will be free to download for 48 hours.

Changing Usernames In PSN Might Finally Be On The Way

PSN users have long yearned for the ability to change their usernames. If recent rumors are correct, they might finally get the option.

Kotaku is reporting that it recently interviewed three anonymous sources, developers working at various studios, and all of them have said that they're "fixing bugs, tweaking settings, and ensuring that their games are compatible with Sony’s plans."

Another source, according to the piece, showed Kotaku a picture that's supposedly internal documentation from Sony showing a PSN profile with an option to edit the username. Kotaku says that it hasn't gotten any indication of a timeline, so this hypothetical feature could still be a way off.

Yakuza Kiwami & Bulletstorm Briefly Teased As November Free PS Plus Titles

Ps4 titles Yakuza Kiwami and Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition briefly appeared on an official Sony PS Plus web page as free November titles for subscribers before being taken down.

Both titles are remasters, and Kiwami in particular would be a welcome free title given how much our own Jeff Cork enjoyed it.

We'll have to wait and see if these two titles indeed become free offers for PS Plus members later in October, which is usually when these things are officially announced.

Explore Twin Peaks' Surrealness In VR

Collider Games, Showtime, and series creator David Lynch are developing a Twin Peaks VR experience for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift exploring the show's mystical Glastonbury Grove and Red Room leading to the Black Lodge.

While the VR experience and possible encounter with the Black Lodge will probably not annihilate the soul, players can explore "moments and settings" from both Twin Peaks: The Return and the original series.

An exact release date for Twin Peaks VR is unknown, but it will be at the Festival of Disruption in Los Angeles on October 13-14.

Rumor: Nintendo Releasing A New Switch Model In Second Half Of 2019

A new Switch model might be on the way according to a report by Wall Street Journal, stating that Nintendo is preparing another model of their hybrid console in the later half of 2019.

According to WSJ, Nintendo feels that Switch sales are liable to lose momentum by next Fall, which would be roughly 2.5 years after the console's release. To maintain that competitive momentum, the company is planning a revision to the console that could feature a number of improvements that are still being discussed. One of those improvements they believe is being considered is a better LCD screen to bring it more in line modern smartphone technology, though they clarify this does not suggest OLED technology as seen in Apple's iPhone X.

Other presumed improvements include making the device smaller, thinner, and more efficient on the battery, though presumably the size would be limited by the size of the detachable mix-and-match joycons. Sources close to Game Informer have suggested the existence of a new revision of the Switch stretching back to March of this year.
