Earlier this week, we reported that YouTube may be coming to Switch this week. We can now confirm that is officially the case, and you can download it now.

Almost a year ago, Nintendo added Hulu to the Switch. YouTube is the next big addition for media options on the console  Hopefully, this means Netflix is also in the near future.

Nintendo hasn't exactly been clear on its plans for media apps, putting more of a priority on bringing games to its latest console. Time will tell if more will come. While we wait, you can go to the store and add YouTube to your Switch

Former EA And DICE Head Announces New Studio, Partnering With Nexon

Industry veteran Patrick Söderlund, best known for his leadership roles at EA and on DICE's Battlefield, announced his departure earlier this year. Now we know what he's been working on, thanks to Nexon's most recent earnings call.

It was revealed the publisher famous for its PC and mobile games, such as Mape Story and Dungeon & Fighter, have invested in Söderlund's new studio called Embark and will act as worldwide publisher for its games.

It's still early, so not much was revealed about Embark's upcoming products, but Söderlund did give some insight into his goals. "I believe games are on the cusp of changing radically, thanks to new technologies,” he said in a press release. “Connected players, big data, speech recognition, cloud computing, advanced AI and more will open up new play, enabling developers to build a wider range of experiences, and for players to create and contribute. Embark is a group of veteran creators eager to move beyond current play experiences into the future.”

Final Fantasy XV Director Resigns, Most DLC Cancelled

During a special announcement stream for Final Fantasy XV, which was presumed to announce new DLC beyond the game's announced four new episodes, Square Enix and director Hajime Tabata shocked everyone by cancelling 75 percent of the DLC and announcing Tabata's resignation from the company.

"To everyone watching the program, hello, this is Tabata," the director said in a pre-written, text-only message aired on stream. "It's almost going to be two whole years since the release of FFXV. I honestly believe the reason we were able to get this far is because of all you loyal fans. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Today, I have a personal announcement to make to all of you. I, Hajime Tabata, will be resigning from Luminous Productions and the Square Enix Group as of October 31, 2018.

"I was able to gain so much experience with my time at Square Enix. Every time I was able to be a part of means a lot to me. However, FFXV stood out from that group as it was a special project for me which I went all-in. Therefore, I decided to take this opportunity to officially announce my departure from FFXV to all the fans who have supported the title across from the globe.

Red Dead Redemption II Sold More Copies In Eight Days Than Red Dead Redemption Sold In Eight Years

Today during Take-Two's second-quarter financial report, the publisher gave us an update on how Red Dead Redemption II is selling. Spoiler alert: It's red hot.

"Red Dead Redemption II sold-in more units in its first eight days than the original blockbuster Red Dead Redemption sold in its first eight years and, as of today, the title has sold-in over 17 million units worldwide," the report says.

Because of the strong Red Dead sales and continued performance of titles like NBA 2K19 – which Take-Two says had the most successful launch in the sports franchise's history – Take-Two is raising its forecast for 2019 fiscal year.

Upcoming Fallout 76 Improvements Include Larger Stash, Fixed Social Components

With only one beta period left before Fallout 76 is available for purchase, time is running out for Bethesda to fine-tune the game. Thanks to player feedback, the developer has identified a few problem areas it was to address sooner rather than later.

One of the loudest complaints coming out of the beta is the limited stash space, and Bethesda plans to have a fix implemented shortly after launch. "While the Stash size at 400 weight limit can get easier to deal with over time, we do plan on increasing it in the future," according to an official Bethesda post on the Fallout 76 subreddit

Other upcoming changes include adding push-to-talk functionality and ultra-wide screen support on PC and fixing the social components, which sometimes list a player as online when they are offline and vice versa.
