Resident Evil, Resident Evil 0, and Resident Evil 4 Switch Release Date Announced

Capcom announced late last year it was bringing Resident Evil, Resident Evil 0, and Resident Evil 4 to the Switch, but no other details were shared at the time. Today we learned a little more about the ports. All three games will be released on May 21 as digital downloads via the Switch eShop, with pre-orders starting on Feb 28.

Capcom also followed up that North American Switch owners will be able to get physical versions of Resident Evil and Resident Evil 0 via the Resident Evil Origins Collection, though no release date for that Switch port has been given yet.

Removed Amazon Listing For Mystery Bethesda Game Had A Countdown Attached

Removed Amazon Listing For Mystery Bethesda Game Had A Countdown Attached

Over the weekend, an Amazon listing was found for a mystery unnamed game without any identifying information besides a publisher: Bethesda. It was found and blown up on social media by accounts like deal maven @Wario64 pointing out the oddity. The now-removed game was available in Standard, Deluxe, and Collector's editions and was able to be preordered on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Perhaps most mysteriously was a single video attached to the listing, stock footage of a countdown with sound of a film reel as it counts down from 10 to 1.

Once the listing got some attention, it was quickly pulled from Amazon without any explanation. The retailer has not responded to a request for clarification, though it is possible they will not until the next business day. If the listing was not an error, it would not be the first time Bethesda has teased a game, as the reveal for Fallout 76 involved a days-long stream of 1950s test footage and a Pip Boy.

Travis Strikes Again DLC Black Dandelion Arrives Next Week

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes, the isometric take on the No More Heroes formula, will be getting its first DLC next week. Players who have been enjoying director Suda51's latest title will be able to get their first taste of new content starting on February 28.

With katana in hand and two new skills, Shinobu joins #TravisStrikesAgain: #NoMoreHeroes with Vol. 1: Black Dandelion DLC, releasing next week on 2/28! Includes the new Badman Strikes Back Adventure. https://t.co/7l6zXx42Ts pic.twitter.com/pZxgJDPLcU

The second DLC focuses on Shinobu, Travis Touchdown's former opponent and modern student. Shinobu gets her own content and two skills that neither Travis nor Badman had in the main game. Additionally, each DLC comes with a text adventure, and this one is Badman's turn. Considering his involvement in the revised Killer7 opening to the game, it is possible the text adventure will shed more light on that.

Anthem's Drop Rates Raised And Then Lowered Again

Anthem's Drop Rates Raised And Then Lowered Again

On Friday, when Anthem got its day one patch last week on the actual day one of the game, or day seven if you've been playing for a week already. An unintended consequence of that patch has resulted in players on the game's Anthem subreddit and Bioware's forums arguing back and forth all weekend about whether the loot drop rates were lowered or not.

Right before the game released, Bioware sent out the first of the game's major updates, but then put out a smaller update the next day. Both updates shared the exact same notes, causing quite a bit of confusion, but fans who bought the game on Friday felt like they noticed something strange. After the second update, the loot drop rates seemed to have decreased, leading to arguments online with whether the game had a sudden stealth nerf to drop rates, with some people insisting they have and others saying it's exactly the same.

Anthem lead producer Ben Irvo came into a Reddit thread about the subject to clarify.

Microsoft Reveals New Hololens With Unreal Engine 4 Support

Microsoft Reveals New Hololens With Unreal Engine 4 Support

At a press conference in Barcelona today, Microsoft revealed the newest iteration of their Hololens headset, an augmented reality visor that creates images overlayed on to the real world. The new Hololens has some major additions and improvements to the concept and is aimed squarely at businesses for right now.

When the original headset was shown off in 2016, it suffered from the limits of technology at the time. One of the most mentioned problems was the narrow viewing area, which could only produce holograms in specific parts of the visor. This viewing area has now been doubled, meaning it's much harder to lose the overlayed hologram in your view.

The interface now eschews the swipe-based buttons of the original in favor of direct manipulation of objects. The headset itself is now simpler to put on and doesn't require the Steampunk-style knobs and dials for a good fit as the previous version did.
