The Pinkertons And Rockstar Games Are Fighting Over Red Dead Redemption II

The Pinkertons have proven to be the foe in many cultural works throughout the decades: Deadwood, A People's History Of The United States, BioShock Infinite, and so on. Today, it appears that historied company is taking on Take-Two and Rockstar Games over the game's inclusion of Pinkerton agents in Red Dead Redemption II.

Pinkerton Consulting & Investigations sent a cease & desist letter to Take-Two last week and have demanded royalties, claiming Rockstar was unauthorized to feature the Pinkerton brand in the game. Take-Two has fired back, countering that the inclusion of the agency in the game falls under fair use.

Rockstar cites Red Dead Redemption II's historical setting, as well as the Pinkerton Agency's being featured in a plethora of cultural works throughout years as evidence. "[Pinkerton] cannot use trademark law to own the past and prevent creators from including historical references to Pinkerton agents in depictions of the American West," Take-Two asserts in its filing.

10 Cloverfield Lane Director Slated To Direct Uncharted Movie

Another director is once again attached to Sony's attempt to bring Nathan Drake and pals to the big screen. After Shawn Levy's departure from the project, Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane) has stepped up to take on the adaptation, according to a report from Variety.

The adaptation has no release or even production date. Tom Holland is still reported to star as young Nathan Drake but given that the press tour for Spider-Man: Far From Home hasn't started, we imagine this movie's release is a long way away.

While you wait, why not watch Allan Ungar's fantastic fan film starring Nathan Fillion as Nathan Drake?

Overwatch Fan Creates Amazing Replica Of B.O.B.

Ashe and her robo sidekick B.O.B. have proven to be some of the most beloved (and maybe hated) additions to Overwatch's roster since the game was released. One fan, who goes by the moniker BrokenBladeWorkshop, decided to express their love by building B.O.B. You didn't misread that sentence. This person literally made a life-sized replica of the robo henchman.

Check it out here for yourself:

Well, I did something! I'm so proud of B.O.B.! As soon as I saw him at Blizzcon I knew I had to build this enormous young man. I've been playing Ashe non stop since her debut and I'm in love with her and her Omnic companion, I'm so excited to be him again!@PlayOverwatch pic.twitter.com/EOtUlEPVsQ

Time will tell if these changes remedy the issue, but here's the full rundown straight from DICE itself:

Alongside these proposed fixes come four new weapons that players can earn via weekly challenges during Lightning Strikes. A unique version of Conquest, Squad Conquest, also makes its way to the game. Squad Conquest features two squads of eight players each per team facing off against one another on the Arras, Rotterdam, and Hamada maps. The mode is only available temporarily, running from January 17-30, so get in soon if you want to play it. You can read the entire list of rank rewards available in Lightning Strikes here

More Details Revealed For Upcoming Celeste DLC

We found out late last year that new, difficult levels were coming to the platformer Celeste in the form of DLC. However, details were sparse. Now, thanks to a tweet from creator Matt Thorson, we have a better idea of what to expect from the additional content.

Thorson confirmed that it won't be available in time for the game's first anniversary (January 25), so we can expect it to drop sometime after that. It will be one continuous chapter, and it won't have any B-Sides or strawberries. Instead, you can expect some new items and mechanics, though Thorson didn't specify what these will be. Best of all, the DLC will be free on all platforms.

Some Celeste DLC Chapter details: -It won't be ready for the anniversary on Jan 25th, sorry!
-It's all one continuous chapter, no B-Side
-It's after the current hardest levels in difficulty
-No strawberries
-There are some new items/mechanics
-Free on all platforms
