Anthem Closed Alpha Coming Early December, Signups Now

In a day full of Anthem news, EA and Bioware have just a bit more to say. Starting in December, players have a chance to participate in what Bioware is calling a Closed Alpha for Anthem with signups going on right now.

The Anthem playtest will be held on all the platforms the game is releasing on, so PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC get their own playtests. If you get into one, you're only able to playtest on that platform. The sign ups are held through EA's Playtesting site, so you can sign in here with your EA Account to choose your platform and cross your fingers.

Those who don't get picked will be placed on a waitlist to possibly be chosen.

Life Is Strange 2's Second Episode Has A Release Window

Life is Strange 2 kicked off in September to good reviews, but with no official word on the second episode's release, eager fans were left wondering when they could continue Sean and Daniel's adventure.

Good news came from a developer post on the official Life Is Strange Blog today which acknowledged the wait and explained, "The Life is Strange series is a project close to all of our hearts and one for which we do not want to rush development and thereby fail to meet the benchmark of quality and emotional impact that you, our players, deserve."

The end of the post gave fans something to be excited about saying, "we can now officially say that Episode 2 will be released in January 2019," and later went on to tease more information coming in mid December.

BioWare Teases

BioWare is all about Anthem these days, but a blog post from general manager Casey Hudson teased that some details about "secret Dragon Age stuff" would be arriving in the coming month.

The blog, which you can read here, is mainly about where the development team is in terms of getting Anthem across the finish line. The game is currently at a point where the devs can take it and play it at home, which is exciting.

Near the end of the post, however, Hudson writes, "If you’ve been following these blogs, or myself and Mark Darrah on Twitter, you know we’re also working on some secret Dragon Age stuff.  Dragon Age is an incredibly important franchise in our studio, and we’re excited to continue its legacy.  Look for more on this in the coming month (though I won’t tell you where to look…)." It sounds like we might hear something about BioWare's fantasy franchise sometime in the next 30 or so days.
