Mega Man 5, 6, X3, And Battle Chip Challenge Coming To Wii U This Month

Starting with the release of Mega Man Battle Network on Wii U Virtual Console last week, Capcom has promised a new Mega Man game every Thusday for the platform during the month of August. By September, every game in the list below and Mega Man Battle Network will be available to download on Wii U.

Unfortunately, Capcom deliberately avoided revealing in what order the games will release, so if there is one in particular you'd like to download, you will have to check in every Thursday.

This is just the first of many planned Virtual Console release from Capcom. You can head here to see what else is planned for the future.

Artist Imagines Little Golden Book Versions Of Popular Video Games

Artist Joey Spiotto's "Storytime" series takes popular M-rated video games, and imagines what they might look like adapted to become a Little Golden Book.

You can check out the full gallery here, which offers up signed prints of the images for between $35 and $75, depending how big you're looking to get. You can see some of the video game offerings above, but you will also find plenty of TV and move Little Golden Books as well, like Breaking Bad, RoboCop, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Lost, Star Wars, and many others. No Game of Thrones prints though (unless I missed it), which is surprising.

Fan-Made Zelda: Majora's Mask Remake Project Releases Update Video

about X hours ago from

Artists Pablo Belmonte and Paco Martínez released this video in 2012 of the opening Majora's Mask remade in high-definition, but it looks the project was never meant to end at just that video. A new video, which you can see below, shows the pair's progress on rebuilding more of the game's assets and characters. the video also shows their attempts at translating their work into stereoscopic 3D, and you can even see some work being done with a 3DS.

It's unclear exactly what the end goal is here with Belmonte and Martínez's project. It's not being called a remake, but rather a project. Nintendo generally frowns upon these sorts of projects, so there is a good chance it may get shut down. I reached out to Belmonte and Martínez to find out more about the project and will update when I hear more information. For now, check out the video below.

Check Out Nintendo's Presence At CES In 1992

Check Out Nintendo's Presence At CES In 1992

A video on YouTube shows Nintendo at CES three years before E3's first official show.

It's not a new video (it's been on YouTube since 2010), but it's a fascinating peek at the video game trade show as it existed before E3. This video shows Nintendo at CES in 1992. E3's first show was in 1995, so before it existed, CES was the destination for raising excitement for the future of video games.

You will see new (at the time) video games, lots of people wearing suits, awkward on-stage dancing, and a severely depressed Yoshi coming to terms with the fact that it would be years before starring in his own game without Mario riding on his back.

Dead Island Movie Back On Track With New Partner

Dead Island Movie Back On Track With New Partner

Deep Silver has joined forces with new partner Occupant Entertainment to create a movie based on the Dead Island franchise.

Lions Gate Entertainment purchased the rights to make and distribute a Dead Island film back in 2011, but changes in Lions Gate management forced the project to stall and the rights to revert back to Dead Island publisher Deep Silver. With the rights back in Deep Silver's hands, it sought out a new partner and landed on Occupant Entertainment, a production company that helmed the 2006 indie-slasher, All The Boys Love Mandy Lane.

Originally, the Lions Gate Dead Island film was going to be based around the game's impressive reverse zombie outbreak trailer, but the new direction for the film could go in any direction. Deep Silver and Occupant Entertainment have not revealed any specifics about what the film will be about, who will star, or who will direct, but it is fast-tracked for a 2015 release with hopes to premiere at Berlin or Cannes.

Watch The Record Setting 18:10 Zelda: Ocarina Of Time Speedrun With Commentary

Recently, speedrunner Cosmo set a new speed record for beating The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time at any percentage, and he has released a video commentating the run.

The record was set about two weeks ago and you can check out the original Twitch stream by heading here. Since setting the record of 18 minutes and 10 seconds, Cosmo has published a YouTube video detailing every step of his run as well as some of the history behind ripping through Ocarina of Time at full speed.

It's an impressive, near-perfect run – one that, theoretically, won't be defeated for quite a while. The world of speedrunning can be a surprising one, through, so we'll see.
