Pokémon Card Game Coming To iPad

about X hours ago from

First, you had to buy physical cards. Then the Pokémon trading card game went online, expanding to an even broader audience. Soon, even more players will be able to battle when the Pokémon TCG is released on iPad.

That's the news coming out of the Pokémon World Championships in DC. Attendee Josh Wittenkeller spotted the title, and posted a picture on Twitter:

Seem too good to be true? Polygon confirmed with the Pokémon Company that the game was the real deal; the screen isn't a hoax. A representative also confirmed to Kotaku that the game will release later this year.

Song Lyrics Tell Yoshi's Side Of The Story

Song Lyrics Tell Yoshi's Side Of The Story

We know Yoshi as a trusty friend who eats pests and carries us faithfully to the end a level. However, from a different point of view, our actions could look like casual disregard for the dinosaur's well-being.

That's the premise of the funny video below, which adds lyrics to a classic Super Mario World song to tell the tale from Yoshi's perspective.  After watching it, you may never be able to send Yoshi plummeting to his certain death again. Actually, you will, but you might feel a little bad about it.

Weekend Warrior 8/15/14

It's the weekend again! We're also sad to say that this is the last Weekend Warrior you're going to be seeing from this summer's team of interns. Though we're sad to say goodbye, that doesn't mean we're ever going to stop playing video games – and this weekend is not an exception. As always, let us know what you all are doing this weekend in the comments.

Ben Hanson: This weekend I'm hoping to continue playing The Last of Us on PS4. I'm finally getting into the swing of things with that game, but I don't know if I'm at the point yet where I'm really eager to live in that world again. Outside of that, I just built my first PC last night (with the help of Game Informer's support specialist Jeff Myhre), and so I'm looking forward to pushing it to its limits with some high-end games. I also want to catch up on the grab bag of other smaller games that wouldn't boot up on my old laptop for some reason like Luftrausers. Have a good weekend!

Report: PS4 Share Play Sessions Last An Hour

Gamers have been waiting to be able to jump into their friends' sessions ever since Sony teased the feature for the PS4 before launch. At Gamescom, the company announced the Share Play feature, and it looks like there may be certain perameters.

Share Play allows a friend to play along with you or take over your game remotely on your PS4 if you're a PlayStation Plus member. However, they don't have to be a PS+ member or own or download the title themselves. The feature is coming via the system's 2.0 update this fall.

According to French site Gameblog.fr, Sony Europe's Jim Ryan says that sessions last an hour, and that competitive Share Play sessions require that your friend have a PS+ membership.
