Tomorrow brings a new title for Xbox 360 owners. Halo: Reach, a title that explores the fall of a major human military installation, will be free (with membership) for Xbox Live Gold members. This offer extends from tomorrow, September 16 through the end of the month.

Destiny Is The Largest New IP Launch In UK History

Activision’s big bet on Destiny is starting to pay off. The company announced last week that the title has shipped $500 million worth of units to retail. Today, another milestone has been announced.

According GfK Chart Track, Destiny is the biggest new IP launch in history in the UK. Earlier this year, Activision CEO Bobby Kotick promised investors that the title would reach that mark worldwide.

Destiny bumps Watch Dogs off the top of the UK sales list for the year. Chart Track breaks down platform sales, with 46 percent going to PS4, 36 percent on Xbox One, 14 percent on Xbox 360, and 4 percent on PS3. This includes the PS4 bundle sales.

Notch On Mojang Departure: ‘It’s About My Sanity’

Now that Microsoft’s acquisition of Mojang is confirmed, the way forward for the studio and its founders is starting to come into focus. Since the announcement just a bit ago, we’ve known that Markus “Notch” Persson, the creator of Minecraft, is leaving the studio.

In a statement on his personal blog, Notch explains the reasons for his departure. Among them, he cites a recent incident about an end user license agreement with which he had no part.

"I was at home with a bad cold a couple of weeks ago when the internet exploded with hate against me over some kind of EULA situation that I had nothing to do with. I was confused. I didn’t understand," he writes. "I tweeted this in frustration. Later on, I watched the This is Phil Fish video on YouTube and started to realize I didn’t have the connection to my fans I thought I had. I’ve become a symbol. I don’t want to be a symbol, responsible for something huge that I don’t understand, that I don’t want to work on, that keeps coming back to me. I’m not an entrepreneur. I’m not a CEO. I’m a nerdy computer programmer who likes to have opinions on Twitter."

Microsoft Reports Xbox Live Sign-in And Multiplayer Issues

Microsoft's server status page (and news tipsters) are reporting issues with Xbox Live.

You can find Xbox Live's server status page here which says Xbox 360 users are experiencing issues “Joining other Xbox Live members in online games,” while Xbox One players and mobile users are experiencing issues signing into Xbox Live.

After seeing the alerts on the page I booted up Resident Evil 6 (random, I know. It's the game that was currently in my system) and had no problem jumping online. I also jumped into a game of Titanfall on Xbox One and had no problem signing in and getting into a match.
