Assassin's Creed Movie Pushed Back, Won't Release In 2015

A change in Fox's release schedule means its unlikely that we'll see the Assassin's Creed movie adaptation anytime soon.

According to Ain't It Cool News, Fox has pushed the Assassin's Creed movie (which is slated to star Michael Fassbender) back "indefinitely." It had been slated for August of 2015. This is apparently due to concerns on the film's production schedule and the fact that the new Fantastic Four film has been moved to the August 2015 release slot for Fox.

Images and rough footage of a very unique Mario Wii game has surfaced.

The game was in development at Next Level Games, the company that had made the soccer games Super Mario Strikers and Super Mario Strikers Charged, as well as the more recent Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon.

The game was originally conceived as a volleyball game, but gradually added gonzo wrestling combat to the mix. It's an interested "what might have been" story, we encourage to read the full story at Unseen64.

What's BioWare's Green Cloud?

about X hours ago from

There's a new listing on the Australian game ratings board site for a new BioWare game codenamed "Green Cloud."

The listing was spotted by IGN. We're assuming that "Green Cloud" is a codename – unless BioWare is going with a seriously unmarketable title for a new IP.

Listed MA 15+, a rating somewhat equivalent to the Teen rating by the ESRB. Could this be the new IP the company was working on with Casey Hudson? Or something related to another BioWare series?

Kickstarter Backers Demand Refunds As Neal Stephenson Cancels Unfinished Swordfighting Game

about X hours ago from

Last year, we reported that author Neal Stephenson’s successful $526,000 Kickstarter project, a swordfighting game called Clang, had been “paused.” Today, that project has been fully canceled by his company, Subutai Corporation, and Kickstarter backers are seeking refunds.

According to a post titled “Final Update” on the project page, Stephenson says that approximately $700 of refunds have been distributed. A number of other backers have chimed in via the comment section to also request their money returned, despite Stephenson’s claim that all backer rewards have been delivered.

“Last year, Subutai Corporation delivered the Clang prototype and the other donor rewards as promised,” Stephenson writes. “The prototype was technically innovative, but it wasn't very fun to play.” Commenters are refuting Stephenson’s claim that all backer rewards have been distributed, specifically identifying a physical book for tiers of $150 and higher that has not been sent to eligible funders.

The digital version is available now, if you find yourself in desperate need of new-gen blockiness. As for those hoping to play on the go, more news for the Vita version will be along shortly.

Spec Out Your Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Character Right Now

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is coming in just a few weeks, but Gearbox knows that some of its fans like to meticulously plan their character progression. To that end, there are some new tools available today to help you decide if you want to start with Athena, Wilhelm, Nisha, or Claptrap.

The Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel skill builder starts you with 48 points, and allows you to progress through one, two, or all three branches just like you’d already played the game for hours. Be sure to check out the bottom skill on Claptrap’s center tree (I Love You Guys).

Gearbox and 2K Australia will unleash the third full Borderlands title on October 14 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. For more, check out a trailer about the new features hosted by the very loud Mister Torgue and Sir Hammerlock.

The Dark Knight’s Batmobile Is Hiding Under The Millennium Falcon

The Dark Knight’s Batmobile Is Hiding Under The Millennium Falcon

There is no logical reason why anyone would want a Batman / Star Wars crossover other than to geek out about as hard as is possibly conceivable. What would a Jedi look like in Gotham? Would Batman be a bounty hunter among the stars (and would he be Twi’lek to mimic the cowl ears)?

We may never know how that would play out, but a bit of Batman will be hidden in the new J.J. Abrams Star Wars films. As you can see in the video below, the Batmobile from the Christopher Nolan films can be seen affixed to the bottom of the Millennium Falcon.
