Destiny is out, and Smash Bros. and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor are just around the corner. The Fall gaming rush is about to come showering down on us. What games can't you wait to get your hands on? (You still have to wait.)

Maybe you're looking forward to shooting enemies with Halo: The Master Chief Collection or Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Or maybe you're looking forward to exploring a vast fantasy world in Dragon Age: Inquisition. Maybe you're looking forward to slashing through thousands of foes with Link and friends in Hyrule Warriors. Or maybe you want to get scared out of your mind with games like Alien: Isolation and The Evil Within. Whatever the case, one thing is clear: there are a lot of great games coming out in the next couple months. What are you looking forward to playing the most?

Personally, I can't wait to play both Civilization: Beyond Earth and Shadow of Mordor, but I'm also curious about Sunset Overdrive and Wasteland 2. Thankfully, I have Destiny to keep me busy int he mean time. What about you? What are you pre-ordering this Fall?

Shadowrun: Dragonfall – Director’s Cut Is Out Now

There is a wealth of great games coming down the pipe for the holidays, but if you love strategy or classic pen-and-paper style RPGs then you don't want to let the director’s cut of Harebrained Schemes’ excellent Shadowrun: Dragonfall pass you by. A host of improvements and new content await those who've already played the game.

Shadowrun: Dragonfall – Directors Cut released on September 18, but it would be easy to pass this one by, but fans of the series probably won’t want to let it. Those who download Shadowrun: Dragonfall - Director’s Cut will get a host of new improvement, including five new missions, alternate endings, new music, a redesigned interface, team customization options, and a revamped combat system.

Sounds like a pretty good deal, especially considering that the Director’s Cut is free to existing owners of the Dragonfall expansion for Shadowrun Returns, and only $14.99 for newcomers. Check out our review of the original release here, and the trailer below.

Nvidia Creates Moon Landing Simulation To Prove Its Veracity

about X hours ago from

Some folks don't believe the moon landing actually happened. They say it was filmed on a set, and point to aspects of the lighting as proof of its falsity. Nvidia aims to prove those naysayers wrong with a simulation – and show off some cool tech.

The simulation truly serves to show off Nvidia's Voxel Global Illumination tech, which can accurately recreate real-world lighting from a single source – like the sun. You can check out the full breakdown of how the lighting engine works, why Nvidia decided to use the lunar landing to show it off, and how an astronaut's suit is surprisingly good at reflecting light.

Call Of Duty's Nuketown And Assassin's Creed Get The Mega Bloks Treatment

Mega Bloks recently showcased new sets modeled after Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty.

The Call of Duty set (seen above) is modeled after the Nuketown multiplayer map – the one with all the mannequins that some players are always shooting at by mistake thinking they are players. I've never done that myself, but I hear it happens to some players.

Mega Bloks also showed off new Assassin's Creed sets based on Ezio Auditore da Firenze's time in the hood (seen below), as well as a high seas set based on Assassin's Creed: Black Flag. You can learn more by heading over to Toy Ark's website.

First Disgaea 5 Details Revealed

Nippon Ichi Software (NIS) celebrated big at Tokyo Game Show by holding a press conference today to unveil details on Disgaea 5.

Details have been light up to this point, but NIS was finally ready to share about the strategy/RPG franchise's next adventure. Disgaea 5 will release exclusively on PlayStation 4, which will allow NIS to go in a larger direction with the series. After hearing fan feedback about the story lacking, NIS has decided to greatly expand its scope. This entry will include 16 chapters complete with a new conversation mode. NIS is still working out the kinks on how this conversation mode will function, but it did share that the story is much darker this time around. The narrative is centered on revenge. That doesn't mean the series' trademark humor won't be intact, but NIS wants to create a more balanced and deeper story right down to the characters. All the main characters are overlords and the cast is entirely new.
