Square Enix Play Arts Kai Suits Up With Iron Man Variant Figure

Batman and company aren’t the only ones who are getting a Square Enix-style makeover. Marvel has teamed up with the company’s Play Arts Kai figure line for variant figures of its most iconic characters.

First up is the invincible Iron Man. Unlike the Batman and Catwoman figures we’ve seen on the DC Comics side, this Iron Man figure isn’t terribly outlandish.

The biggest changes are introduction of a substantial amount of black to the color scheme and the increased number of armor plates. This gives Iron Man a more medieval look without sacrificing the technology bent.

In conjunction with this week’a New York Comic Con, Square Enix has unveiled another Play Arts Kai figure based on a DC character. Catwoman is front and center with a design under the DC Comics Variant Line, but no other information is available yet.
