The contestants of Mortal Kombat kick the crap out of each other…repeatedly. Actually, they eviscerate each other…repeatedly. Who do you think nurses them back to heath?

The gang at The Warp Zone put together this silly video of what a day in the life at the Mortal Kombat hospital must look like.

Sony’s Offers Season Pass Discounts

about X hours ago from

If you enjoy watching some of your favorite TV and movies on your PlayStation, but hate having to buy each individual episode one at a time, then get ready to save yourself some extra clicks. Starting today, PS3 users can buy full seasons of their favorite shows through a season pass system for Video Unlimited and the PlayStation Store.

In order to celebrate the launch of the Season Pass feature, Sony is offering special discounts on full seasons of shows like The Walking Dead. Between October 30 and November 17, fans can grab a full SD season of The Walking Dead for as little as $5.59.

The season pass feature is available now on PS3 and the PS Store for both web and mobile, but PS4, BRAVIA TV, and Sony Blu-ray player users will have to wait a little longer for support.

Weekend Warrior 10/24/14

Weekend Warrior 10/24/14

This weekend the Game Informer staff is participating in the annual Extra Life 24-hour livestream marathon for charity. The event will be chock-full of fun events and games of all varieties, which you can preview here. If you’re interested in donating, be sure to check out the Team Game Informer page. All proceeds go to the Children’s Miracle Network. Outside of watching us goof off on the livestream, what are you plans for the weekend?

Jeff Marchiafava: Besides stopping by to support our team during Extra Life and playing some potentially crappy games (depending on what donators pick for us to play at 4:00PM), I hope to put some more time into Shadow of Mordor this weekend. I’ve become completely obsessed with this game, and it’s on a very short list for my GOTY right now. I seriously can’t stop cutting off orc heads…well, except for last night when I accidentally fell asleep while reading rune descriptions in the menu. What can I say? I’m old.

Ben Hanson: This weekend is devoted to a 24-gaming marathon for charity called Extra Life, so (as the video guy) that naturally means that I won't be playing games this weekend. I'm going to be running the stream and trying not to fall asleep. We have a lot of dumb segments planned that should be a lot of fun to watch, so please tune in and donate to help those kiddies!

DC Comics' Constantine TV Series Begins Tonight

about X hours ago from

If you don't like comic books, you may want to ditch cable TV and avoid going to movie theaters in the summer. Last week, Warner Bros. outlined its strategy to bring most of DC Comics' beloved super heroes to the big screen, and later tonight another popular character hits the small screen. Joining Arrow, Flash, and Gotham, Constantine is a new super hero series that dives deep into DC Comics' realm of magic and dark arts. Born from the pages of Hellblazer, John Constantine is a demon hunter who travels the country to snuff out evil (much like the boys do in Supernatural). The bad news: His soul belongs to the devil.

The first episode airs on NBC tonight at 9 p.m. CT. if it's anything like Arrow and the Flash, DC Comics fans may have another show to champion. And as I wrote earlier in the year, the next stop for the comic book movement should be video games.

Funko Taps Assassin's Creed Unity & Other Game Properties For New Figs

about X hours ago from

Funko's Pop! line of vinyl figures is fast becoming one of the largest collections out there, diving into dozens of licenses including game properties Mass Effect and Halo. The army of dead-eyed figures harking from the game realm grows a little larger this holiday with new figures based on characters from Assassin's Creed Unity, LittleBigPlanet, and World of Warcraft.

In addition to a "super sized" version of Deathwing, World of Warcraft fans can look forward to figures based on Sylvanas, Thrall, and a murlock. All of these figures are shipping in November, alongside LittleBigPlanet's Sackboy.

In December, Funko is tapping Assassin's Creed: Unity for a figure of Arno, one of the four playable protagonists in the game. It's a bit odd that all five assassins are not offered, but who knows, maybe we'll see his comrades vinylized in the future.

Player Spoofs P.T. In Project Spark, Nicolas Cage Included

about X hours ago from

In Game Informer's Test Chamber tour of Project Spark, editor Kyle Hilliard showed off a couple of fan creations that mimicked other games, namely Crash Bandicoot and The Legend of Zelda. Today, a Project Spark player has released a trailer for R.T., a spoof on Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro's P.T.

Most of you know that P.T. was later revealed to be the first playable glimpse at Silent Hills, a new entry in Konami's long-running series. We don't know if R.T. will give way to a bigger Project Spark project, but the trailer is plenty scary, as witnessed by Nicolas Cage's reactions to the horror and suspense. Project Spark is fairly limited in its scope, but players are having fun with it and are delivering impressive content like this trailer.

If you stumble across other notable Project Spark creations, send them to Game Informer's news tip line.
