Bungie Releases Destiny Update To Add Voice Chat, Increase Bounty Slots

Bungie has detailed the extensive changes now available in Destiny via update 1.0.3. Now, you won’t need to delete one of those pesky exotic bounties to make room for those you can actually complete quickly. Slots have been doubled with ten now available.

The patch also fixes some vendor problems, adds preview options for shaders and emblems, and makes sure that motes and coins earned when your inventory is full go to the postmaster. Seven Crucible maps have received fixes, including for exploits that saw players going outside the playable zones.

The HUD got a few bits of polish, namely improvements to readability on recharge timers and (finally) explanations of the skulls in the navigation mode screen. The biggest change to the game comes in the form of a new audio chat channel.

Where's Our New-Gen Grand Theft Auto V Review?

about X hours ago from

Our review of Grand Theft Auto V on PS4 and Xbox One is just beginning, and it won't be complete until we see as much of the new content as we can. Along with a new first-person perspective, these versions offer new stock car races, vehicles, weapons, wildlife, and a murder mystery mission for Michael. Additionally, we want to test the multiplayer servers after the game launches. The review likely won't hit the site until Thursday.

I've logged a few hours into the PlayStation 4 version, and my early takeaway from it can be summed up in one word: Wow! The first-person view point is implemented beautifully, giving players a more intimate look at the little details in the world, and a better perspective for combat. The lighting and draw distance are improved, and thus far, I haven't experienced a graphical hiccup or framerate glitch. It seems like it's running at a smooth 30 frames per second. You can watch my playthrough later in the day on my Twitch stream. Feel free to drop by and ask a few questions.

A Decade Later, Metal Gear Solid 3 Still Has The Best James Bond Theme Song

Today marks the tenth anniversary of Metal Gear Solid’s release. It moved the series forward in a number of ways, all while taking players back in time to contextualize Solid Snake’s story.

It opens with one of the best theme songs in any game, evoking (and surpassing) the title credits for James Bond films. Named “Snake Eater,” the theme song was written by Norihiko Hibino and performed by Cynthia Harrell.

Assassin’s Creed Unity Next Patch Addresses More Gameplay, Stability Issues

Ubisoft has rolled out a second major patch for Assassin’s Creed Unity on PlayStation 4 and PC, with an Xbox One version in progress. The development team is already looking ahead to another significant update that will be bigger than the last.

Patch 3, as it’s called, will deal with gameplay issues, including lingering “stuck in a hay cart” problems, animation bugs, getting in and out of cover, and improvements to the camera. AI errors, like those that impact detection of player behavior, matchmaking, and menu issues are also addressed.

Ubisoft is also including improvements to the game’s stability. The final details for the patch are not yet finalized, nor is the timing.

Reader Discussion – Who Is The Best Super Smash Bros. Fighter?

It's a question with a different answer for nearly everyone who has played a Smash Bros. game, but we want to know your answer.

If you've watched any of our 8-player Super Smash Bros. videos (click the links for part 1, 2, 3, and 4), you will know I personally favor Toon Link. He has all the moves of Link, but he's a little faster and he's adorable. I've always been a big fan of Captain Falcon, and also spent a huge amount of Super Smash Bros. 3DS time with Lucina.

What about you? Who do you think is the best? Who is your favorite? Who will you log the most time with when Super Smash Bros. Wii U releases on Friday, November 21?

The game is now called Kalimba, though it's still the same title we previewed back in April. It will be available on December 17 on Xbox One for $9.99 with plans for a PC release in January.
