From Software Details Bloodborne's Ever-Changing Chalice Dungeon, Showcases New Boss

From Software's Hidetaka Miyazaki came on stage at the PlayStation Experience to show off Bloodborne's Chalice Dungeon.

The demo offered gameplay showing off the new procedurally generated map. It's three levels and will change with each play through, and you can share your version of the dungeon with others. We saw a black and white knight fighting new enemies, and reaching an activation point which opened the way to a boss. A nice touch was the blood soaking the black knight's clothing following the battle leading to the boss.

The boss was a gigantic, intimidating flaming dog. The demo did not show the defeat of the boss as Miyazaki did not want to spoil the fun of defeating a boss for everyone

Sony's PlayStation Experience event is in full swing, with the keynote presentation leading with one of the company's biggest 2015 exclusives. Game director Bruce Straley handled the live demo on PlayStation 4 hardware.

The visuals are certainly impressive, with detail paid to even the smallest items like the gun shoulder straps. The demo kicks off with an exploration segment, as Nate moves through a cave system.

Uncharted's humor makes the transition to PlayStation 4, with Nolan North giving us all those "Nate noises" to which we're so accustomed. Shortly after exiting the cave, Nate runs into armed troops.

Nintendo had the opportunity to open and close the first year of The Game Awards, making the most of the opportunity. We now have another look at some of what’s in store for the next entry in The Legend of Zelda series.

The new title, which has been reconfirmed for 2015, will feature a huge world. Link can climb to the top of high peaks and jump off safely with the aid of the sail cloth.

He can also ride Epona, who has become quite intelligent. Link’s faithful horse will continue moving in the current direction with little manipulation required (and without running into trees).
