Assassin’s Creed Unity’s ‘Refurbished Paris’ Explained, Patch 4 Is 6.7 GB

about X hours ago from

Yesterday, Ubisoft announced that the latest patch for Assassin’s Creed Unity was slightly delayed. Patch 4 is rolling out now, and the publisher has shared more information about what it has done to “refurbish” the Paris map.

“Part of the team’s effort to enhance frame rate for players involves replacing and updating portions of the Paris city map where we are seeing issues,” the company writes. “This explains the large size of this title update (6.7 GB). However, since a large portion of the patch replaces existing files the net increase to the game’s overall size will be less than 6.7 GB.”

As a result of these changes, Patch 4 improves frame rate, reduces crashes, and prevents lost progression. Online performance also sees a boost with connectivity and matchmaking.

Transformers Universe Is Closing

Transformers Universe, which was announced back in 2012, will be no more. The massively online tactical action game that let you play as an Autobot or a Deception is shutting down on January 31 at 10 AM (GMT).   The closure period starts now, though. Those who purchased a founders pack, relic bundle, or any starter packs will be refunded within in the next 30 days. Refunds should occur by January 16. Otherwise, you are urged to contact customer service. Players won't be able to make new accounts, but can still log in to their current account and play until the closure date.

"Once again, we want to thank all of the players that have played Transformers Universe and all those that have worked on the project," the development team wrote in its closure post. "We're sure you have thoughts and feelings that you'd like to share on this, so please do so on our forums. Please bear in mind that this is obviously a challenging time for all involved, especially the CM team. There will be plenty of things we can't comment on, so please respect their position."

In the post, it was also said that Jagex and Hasbro have decided to "realign plans and refocus" for 2015.

First Look At Four-Player Grand Theft Auto Online Heists Arriving In 2015

about X hours ago from

Rockstar is finally giving more detail about the long-awaited Grand Theft Auto Online heists, but if you’re hoping for a release date, we’re going to pop that bubble right now. They aren’t going to be available until early 2015.

Rockstar has shared details with IGN about how heists will work in a multiplayer setting. Players will be able to group with three friends to plan and execute multi-tiered missions.

You’ll all need to be at least rank 12, and the leader needs a high end apartment (so you have room to plan). The execution for the boss seems complex, as Lester will only contact the leader.
