Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham’s pantheon of DC Comics characters is expanding again. This time, Tt Games looks to the future.

The new add-on features characters from Batman Beyond, a series set in the not too distant future. Bruce Wayne has aged and retired, taking Terry McGinnis under his wing.

The new bat suit can fly, turn invisible, and there are even more toys available to take down bad guys. The pack comes with Batman Beyond, elderly Bruce Wayne, Ace (the dog), Inque, Blight, Mr. Freeze (or at least his head), The Joker, and Bonk (a Big Fig Joker Goon).

Update: Starbreeze has gotten back to us about what's in each of the bundles arriving tomorrow, December 18, for Payday 2. The good news is that if you already own all the game content, you'll get the exclusive bundle masks automatically.

The Game of the Year version will include the game, 14 DLC packs, and 50 updates made since the game's release. The Gage Weapon Pack bundle includes seven DLC packs. The Heist bundle includes four paid DLC heist missions.

Starbreeze anticipates releasing the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions in Spring 2015. 

Ubisoft has confirmed a problem with the latest Assassin’s Creed Unity patch. Xbox One players that installed Patch 3 are being forced to re-download the full 40 GB game.

The update, which rolled out on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 yesterday was already a hefty 6.7 GB. “Unfortunately, an issue with the patch downloading process is replacing the entire game instead of just the parts affected by the patch,” Ubisoft says. “This is obviously not the expected behavior, and we apologize that many of you will have to wait longer than expected to complete this download.”

The publisher says it is working with Microsoft on a fix for the problem. “But as of now we have no ETA on when this will be resolved,” the company says.

Two new elements and Trap Master Skylanders  are coming to Skylanders: Trap Team right in time for Christmas.

Launching December 22, Knight Mare and Knight Light Trap Masters use their Traptanium Blade and Traptanium Lance to take on new levels, new villains (which can be captured), and new areas to explore. Among the villains are Doom Raiders members Luminous and Nightshade. The Light and Dark Elemental Quest Packs will be $29.99 and will come included with the Trap Masters and a location piece that unlocks a special level.

The Wii U port of the 3DS title, Shantae and the Pirate's Curse, will release before the end of 2014.

In a tweet form developer WayForward, which you can see below, it is revealed the game will be available on December 25 at 9 A.M. P.T. for Wii U.

A new show focused on a welder that creates sword replicas from popular video games is coming to the Discovery Channel.

The program is called Big Giant Swords, featuring Michael "Irish Mike" Craughwell and his sidekick AmeriMike. Irish Mike has already blown up on Youtube where he chronicles himself making life-sized replicas of weapons inspired by video games and 80's fantasy science fiction movies. He's shown people how to recreate weapons like Cloud's infamous Buster Sword and Kain's Flame Sword from Blood Omen. 

The first episode of the show has him creating a weapon to rival Zeus' lightning bolt and a Chakram. That sounds right out of a video game...

If you’re itching to try out some of your new The Dark Below items in player-versus-player competition, you might want to see Lord Saladin. He’s returned to the Tower, bringing with him new gear to get you to level 31.

This time around, Iron Banner’s level advantages are enabled to a greater degree. Level 20 players with good armaments might not have armor to withstand much, but they could surprise you by being glass cannons.

Payday 2 is getting new content on PC today in the form of a new heist and an all new character. Clover, the first female member of the Payday crew, comes with her own unique weapons and mask, along with new perks that focus on breaking and entering.

The new mission, titled "The Diamond Heist," challenges players to steal the worlds most famous diamond. You'll be able to keep identity hidden during this job with four new masks based on historical figures and ancient myths.

In addition to new content, Starbreeze has announced three brand new Payday bundles that will be released on December 18th. The first is Payday 2 Game of the Year bundle which will cost $79.99. The other two are DLC bundles, one named the Gage Weapon Pack ($24.99) and the second is the Heist Pack ($29.99). We've reached out to Starbreeze for more detail about the contents of these three bundles.

In an update sent to Shadowrun Returns backers, developer Harebrained Schemes has teased more coming in the cyberpunk universe. The success of the first title is luring the company back to the crowdfunding scene.

The update to backers is very brief, “Shadowrun returns to Kickstarter January 2015,” it says. Included in the update is an image that reinforces the message (above).

This will be Harebrained Schemes third turn on Kickstarter. The second is the digital/tabletop hybrid, Golem Arcana. You can read more about that in our interview with company founder Jordan Weisman from PAX.

Dragon Age: Inquisition’s multiplayer just got a little more dangerous. BioWare and EA have released a free update to the game that adds new paths to the existing multiplayer locations.

In addition to the new winding ways through the scenery, players will encounter wildlife that will attack hero and monster alike. You can start exploring the new paths now.

For those that purchased the standard edition and want to upgrade to the deluxe version, you can now do so. For $9.99, you’ll get the Skyhold Throne, the red hart halla mount, the bog unicorn mount, and the digital soundtrack. The deluxe upgrade also comes with the the Flames of the Inquisition weapons, Inquisitor armor, an armored horse, and additional multiplayer chests.
