Reader Discussion: Do You Prefer Vita Or PlayStation 4 For Cross-Buy Games?

When it comes to cross-buy games, what is your platform of choice?

Typically, the gameplay experience is identical on the two platforms, but there is one that has to claim your preference. When I have the choice, I am pretty much always going to default Vita. Being able to pick up and drop into a game or put it down immediately by turning the screen on and off is what makes Vita my preference. I may miss out on a larger screen, but it's worth it to be able to take a game anywhere and start and stop with greater ease.

Reader Discussion: Will You Play As Soldier Or Monster In Evolve?

Turtle Rock Studios is taking special care to make sure whether you're the monster or the soldiers you will have fun, but there has to be one you're more interested in playing as.

I played a few rounds of the Evolve beta as the soldiers, but at Comic Con '14 I got a chance to play as the monster, and I actually won the round. That was enough to make me a little more interested in honing my monster skills. I will be jumping around between the many playable characters on Tuesday, but I think I am going to be defaulting to the monster when I have the choice. What about you? Is there a specific soldier class you want to focus on? Or do you just want to try everything and see what sticks?

Turtle Rock Studios announced the details of its day one patch for Evolve, which releases on Tuesday February 10. You can find out more about it here. To see all of our Evolve features from when we featured the game on our cover, click the banner below.
