Professor Layton And Fantasy Life Sequels Heading To Mobile Devices In Japan

Sequels to two Level-5 franchises were revealed at a recent Level-5 focused event in Japan.

According to a report form Polygon, the new Layton game, titled Layton 7, plays less like a traditional Layton game filled with puzzles, and instead focuses on a single puzzle – figuring out who is a vampire amongst a group of seemingly normal people.

Five Nights At Freddy's Film Adaptation In The Works

Five Night's at Freddy's, the horror series inspired by the animatronic anthropomorphic animals of Chuck E. Cheese's, is getting turned into a movie.

The project is very much in its infancy, according to Hollywood Reporter, but it sounds like the series' creator, Scott Cawthon, will be involved. Writers, actors, directors, etc. have not been announced, but producers are in place. Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment as well as Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg of KatzSmith Productions will produce the film. Lee's producing credits include the Poltergeist and Oldboy remakes, as well as American horror remakes The Ring and The Grduge, among many others. Grahame-Smith wrote the scripts for Tim Burton's Dark Shadows and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, and Katzenberg's credits mostly include TV comedies like The Goldbergs.

If you're unfamiliar with the game, in it players must survive a night in a haunted, abandoned children's pizza and entertainment restaurant by watching the haunted animatronics on security cameras. You can see us play Five Nights at Freddy's 3 in a recent episode of Test Chamber below.

Reader Discussion: Do You Play Deus Ex Using Stealth Or Lethal Means?

Reader Discussion: Do You Play Deus Ex Using Stealth Or Lethal Means?

Today's cover reveal on Deus Ex: Mankind Divided got us thinking more about the series and how people approach it differently.

Part of the fun of Deus Ex is having a choice in how you approach situations. This extends to the gameplay, which allows you to play as stealthy or as lethal you want. Many people try to play through using one style throughout the games, while some prefer to switch it up depending on the situation. Personally, I always try to go the stealth route and avoid conflict when possible, but I do like getting fists involved when the situation gets out of hand. Plus, there's always that unfortunate slip-up, where you blow your cover and just decide you're going lethal.

As discussed in our cover reveal, It looks like Jensen will have some new augmentations in Deus Ex: Mankind to help him play as stealthy or lethal as he wishes. Which side will you choose? Did you have fun playing one way more than the other? Let us know in the comments below!

Loot Crate’s DIY Munny Contest Turns Out Impressive Game-Themed Creations

The Munny line of ready-to-customize vinyl figures has been a hit for years, so it’s no surprise people created cool things when Loot Crate tasked recipients of last month’s crate to modify the Mini Munny inside.

Something about Munnys seems to inspire people to go into absurd levels of detail, and this contest was no exception. The winner for the gaming category ended up being an excellent little adaptation of the Spriggan from Skyrim, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t other interesting creations submitted. Check out more in the gallery below.
