First Battlefield Hardline Update Adds Server Rentals, Fixes TDM Spawning

about X hours ago from

A month removed from its launch, Battlefield Hardline is running pretty smoothly. But that doesn't mean developer Visceral Games doesn't have improvements to make.

On the Battlefield blog, lead multiplayer designer Thad Sasser outlined the changing coming to the first title update. The first five changes address the major issues pointed out by the community – the horrible spawing in Team Deathmatch, lengthening the Conquest battles, balancing some weapons, and Punkbuster/Nvidia driver tweaks for PC players. In addition, the console versions are adding the Rent A Server program seen in the past few Battlefield games.

We Are Still Mystified By Everybody's Gone To The Rapture, And That's A Good Thing

The Chinese Room just released another trailer for its mysterious follow-up to Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs.

Using Bucket's Sentry Gun For A Good Cause In Evolve

Gamers have proven so adept at completing Turtle Rock Studios' community challenges in Evolve, that the company has announced yet another one for players to conquer.

If players deal at least 200 million damage to any monsters with Bucket's sentry guns (you don't have to play as him; he just needs to be in your party) this weekend, everyone who plays gets a Bucket Predator skin for free. Furthermore, if 350 million in damage is dealt, then everyone who's playing during that time span gets a Support Predator skin set as well.

The event is this weekend, starting Friday, April 17 at 12:01 AM ET until 12:01 AM ET on Monday, April 20.

Boxboy, from the same studio that brought us games like Kirby and Super Smash Bros., is a creative puzzle game with a sparse aesthetic.

Join myself, intern Justin Mikos, and Wade Wojcik as we make our way through the game's opening puzzles, paying full respect to the exclamation point that follows the title on the game's opening screen.
