Fallout 4: Pip-Boy Edition Gives Players Their Own Vault-Tec Wristwear

Along the first live demo of Fallout 4, director Todd Howard gave us a glimpse of the collector's edition known as the Fallout 4: Pip-Boy Edition. As the name implies, the collector's edition comes with a physical version of Fallout 4's Pip-Boy that you can wear.

Not only does the Pip-Boy fit around your wrist, but your iPhone or Android phone fits inside of it, allowing it to utilize the new Pip-Boy app – a second screen companion app that works for iOS and Android phones even without the physical Pip-Boy. The app allows you to interact with all versions of Fallout 4 over your local Wi-Fi network as you would normally through the Pip-Boy in the game.

The Fallout 4: Pip-Boy Edition will launch alongside the game on November 10.

about X hours ago from

Another big Fallout 4 feature announced at Bethesda's E3 2015 press conference this evening - the ability to craft your very own base of operations, or just about anything else you would like to: power networks, houses, settlements, turrets, and various types of shelter.

You can scrap all kinds of materials you find in the world to create powerful structures that can be used to protect you from raiders. These areas are optional, but for players that want to get into them it provides an interesting outlet for creativity and additional goodies.

These scrap components can also be used to build all kinds of other useful items, like scopes. Fallout 4 features over 50 base weapons and 700 modifications to those weapons - so there's a lot going on here with crafting and customization.

Doom Leaves Bloody Chunks All Over Bethesda's E3 Press Conference

about X hours ago from

Bethesda's id Software executive producer Marty Stratton gave an expanded look at Doom, and it was as bloody and visceral as you'd expect.

The first part of the demo showed off a version of the action we've seen at last year's Quakecon, with a few details we noticed about the action through the mining facility on Mars.

The melee combat was not for the timid. The protagonist reached into the chest cavities of demons, ripped out their innards and kicked them aside. Players' use of the shotgun and the chainsaw can target some different parts of the body, and we saw the legs blown out from under a demon by the shotgun, and the chainsaw cut off limbs as well as cleave a demon in two.
