Here Are All Of The Tracks Confirmed To Appear In The Guitar Hero Live Song List So Far [UPDATED: 8/5/2015]

With Guitar Hero making its big return this year, Activision is coming out swinging with the songs available at release. Back in April, the publisher told us that it will feature "hundreds" of songs at launch in the GHTV mode of the game alone, and with "Tracklist Tuesday" making it a weekly event to learn more about what we'll be shredding along to when Guitar Hero Live releases, the setlist is shaping up to feature a diverse collection of songs from a wide array of artists and genres.

If you haven't kept up with all of the announcements, you can check out the updated official soundtrack to this point below. If you'd like to compare this to what is appearing on Rock Band 4's disc, you can check out the running list dedicated to Harmonix's game here.

Activision and FreeStyle Games have not clarified which mode each of the songs will be available for, but these are the songs that will be playable at launch. If you'd like to learn more about how the newest Guitar Hero plays, you can check out our hands-on impressions.

Nintendo Details Release Information For Next Two Bursts Of Amiibos

Nintendo has announced when the next of its popular Amiibo figures will hit store shelves. Starting on September 11, collectors and Nintendo enthusiasts are able to try and grab the newest characters.

The next wave of Amiibos could be the most varied yet, as fans will have the ability to choose between Olimar, Zero Suit Samus, Dr. Mario, Bowser Jr., and Ganondorf. In addition, a special 30th Anniversary Mario Amiibo will release to coincide with the launch of Super Mario Maker on Wii U. The Amiibo is styled after Mario's classic colors as the character appears in the original Super Mario Bros. The 30th Anniversary Mario Amiibo will also be available in Mario's modern red and blue color scheme, but Nintendo will reveal more details on that in the future.

Nintendo has also announced that a bundle of new Amiibos will launch a little bit later in the month. The Retro 3 Pack contains Duck Hunt, R.O.B., and Mr. Game & Watch Amiibos and will release on September 25. The company says that pre-order specifics and other availability information on this bundle will be announced by retailers in coming days.

You Can Use Your Smartphone As A Guitar Hero Live Microphone

We've known about Activision's ambitious mobile plans for Guitar Hero Live since the game was announced. One additional feature was explained to Game Informer today as we discussed the recently announced vocal feature.

If you already have a USB microphone, you're set. Plug it in and you're ready to wail. If you don't, you could hold off on purchasing one. Freestyle games studio head (and Guitar Hero Live creative director) Jamie Jackson told us that the companion app has a neat additional feature. You can turn it into a bluetooth-connected microphone.

The specifics (as well as more features for the app) will be revealed in the coming weeks. But given the prevalence of smartphones, this could save you some bank when Guitar Hero Live releases on October 20 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and mobile platforms.

You can read more about Guitar Hero (which just hit 100 announced songs), in our coverage from this week.
