Chair is not only giving away the last installment of the Infinity Blade series for free, but also tons of assets for budding developers.

Epic Games' Dana Cowley announced the giveaway on the Unreal Engine site. Infinity Blade III can be downloaded from iTunes, but the bigger news is the massive content libraries that Chair is now giving away to Unreal Engine 4 users. The assets were created for the never-released Infinity Blade: Dungeons, and total over 7,600 images, models, audio files, and special effects. Destiny Finally Gets A Good Live-Action Commercial...In Japan

Bungie and Activision have dabbled in live-action marketing for Destiny before, and the results were cringe worthy. However, Sony's most recent Destiny commercial for Japanese audiences will make you forget all that.

In the video below, Japanese actor and supposed Destiny super-fan Ryo Katsuji lures two friends to a late-night Laundromat to impress upon them the epic importance of playing Bungie's shooter with him. In addition to making his own space-helmet sound effects, screaming into washing machines, and startling the crap out of everyone he comes in contact with, Katsuji provides a brief setup of Destiny's plot (it's humorous and informative!).

Metal Gear Solid V's D-Dog Intro Is A Lot Weirder With Ocelot's Crotch

Metal Gear Solid V is a great game, but there's no game that can't be made better by mods. The PC community is hard at work manipulating Kojima's latest masterpiece, and the results are...weird.

The video below comes from Facebook user ED-E, and shows what happens when you replace D-Dog's puppy model with a full-grown Ocelot. It just so happens that the character model defaults to crotch level, which makes his playful nuzzling of Big Boss all the more awkward. A similar mod video hit earlier this year, when YouTube user tmacc posted a video of Ground Zeroes' lengthy intro, with the guard dogs replaced by human soldiers. However, the results weren't nearly as hilarious as this:

Loot Crate, BioWare Team Up For N7 Supply Drop

Is your Shepard running low on supplies? Loot Crate might be able to help. The company is working with BioWare to produce a special limited-edition version of its surprise boxes tailored to Mass Effect fans.

The Mass Effect N7 Specialty Crate is coming soon, but Loot Crate isn't providing further details. If you're interested, you can sign up here to get notified when more information is available.

Loot Crate has been on a bit of a tear lately, partnering up with Bethesda for a special Fallout 4 box and last year's Amiibo promotion. The surprise element has been one of the compelling reasons people look forward to their monthly Loot Crates, but there's certainly something to be said about zeroing in on a theme that's particularly interesting.

Reader Discussion: How Far Would You Travel To Catch A Pokémon?

about X hours ago from

Nintendo and Pokémon developer Game Freak recently announced a partnership with Niantic Labs to work on a Pokémon game that will have players traversing the real world in order to capture those adorable little critters once again. But how far are you willing to travel for your favorite pokémon?

If you're not up to speed about Pokémon Go, check out Kyle Hilliard's thoughts on what he wants from this new pokémon game.

The title looks like it might use augmented reality to let people go out into the real world and capture pokémon with their cell phones. The announcement trailer showed a lot of people traveling to some exotic and far flung places to capture, trade, and battle pokémon, which might seem like a marketer's wishful thinking, but I know a few people who scheduled their vacations around Niantic Labs previous work, Ingress, so it might not be that out of the realm of possibility.

about X hours ago from

Marvel’s next Netflix show is an adaption of Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos work on a book called Alias, a story that revolved around a former costumed superhero turned private investigator named Jessica Jones. This show adaptation is Netflix and Marvel’s followup to Daredevil, and you’ll be able to watch it entire run starting in late November.

If you haven't watched Daredevil on Netflix you should. Check out Mike Futter's opinion on why the show revealed some holes in the gaming landscape.

The show, staring Krysten Ritter, hits Netflix on November 20. Check out the trailer below, which evokes the art style of David Mack’s classic covers.

August 2015 NPD: Madden Is King And Until Dawn Has A Solid Showing

August didn't have too many surprises with Madden performing well and Minecraft still on top. It was nice to see Until Dawn make it into the top ten after being considered by most to be a niche title.

You can find the best-selling titles below with platforms listed in order of sales. Minecraft jumped from number three last month to number two, and Madden took the top slot. Other holdovers from last month include Grand Theft Auto V, Lego: Jurassic World, Batman: Arkham Knight, and Call of Duty Advanced Warfare. Batman saw a significant drop from number two to number nine.

Overall, sales of new physical software, hardware, and accessories declined 2% compared to last year. Accessory sales alone rose 12%, but software sales dropped 10%.
