Funko Releasing Fallout And Skyrim Action Figures This Year

Take a seat, Vault Boy. Funko's upcoming line of action figures based on Bethesda Softworks' Fallout and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim doesn't contain one character with a smile on his face. Big Bad Toy Store today posted images and release date information for this 6" line, along with a $19.99 for each figure.

The two figures from Fallout (the Lone Wanderer from Vault 101 and Power Armor) are scheduled to hit store shelves this November. The Skyrim figures hit a month later in December.

As Voice Actors Prepare To Strike, Far Cry 4 Director Expresses Concern Over Residuals

With a voice actors strike looming and a media blackout agreed upon by the union representing talent (SAG-AFTRA) and publishers in effect, comment from the two sides is likely to be in short supply. We know what the union is asking for, and why it has called a vote to strike. Now, we are starting to hear from individual developers.

On Twitter today, Far Cry 4 director Alex Hutchinson expresses a concern with SAG-AFTRA’s demand for back-end payments (also called residuals). These are percentage payments disbursed to actors predicated on performance of the related media (often film or television).

If @WilWheaton gets royalties on a game before myself or any of the others who spent years (not weeks) working on it, the system is broken.

First Angry Bird Movie Trailer Doesn't Feature Slingshots Or Forts

Ready or not, the first Angry Birds Move trailer is finally upon us. Watch the first cinematic glimpse of your favorite ticked off birds and their weird-looking legs.

The film adaptation of Rovio's popular mobile series was first announced nearly three years ago. Fans of Angry Bird should find the plot pretty familiar; evil pigs invade the home of the birds, greatly upsetting them in the process. If that doesn't make you slingshot yourself out of excitement, the entire trailer is set to Michael Jackson's "Bad". Make your own jokes on that one, depending on your feelings towards the long-running mobile juggernaut. The huge cast includes Jason Sudeikis, Danny McBride, Josh Gad, and gaming's favorite voice actor Peter Dinklage (read more about how Dinklage's work was entirely removed from Destiny).

A Destiny Mission Is Hiding A Chance At An Exotic Sniper Rifle

During its first year, Destiny was a lot of things, but it rarely inspired a sense of discovery. With The Taken King, Bungie has changed its approach, leaving some of the game’s secrets for fans to discover.

One of those has been unearthed in today’s daily heroic story mission, Lost to Light. If you veer off the prescribed course, you’ll have the chance at earning an exotic sniper rifle called The Black Spindle.

What you need to do is gather a couple of friends for a fireteam (this is important), load up the mission, and continue through the mission until you reach the locked door requiring three keys. If you head toward the area where you fight Taniks in The Shadow Thief (to the right when looking at the door).

Report: Hyrule Warriors Legends On 3DS Only Supports 3D On Newer Hardware

From the moment the New 3DS XL launched here in North America, there was already a software divide with older handhelds. Xenoblade Chronicles 3D only works on the newer devices. That hasn’t become commonplace though, but we may be seeing a new form of segmentation.

According to an interview appearing on Japanese site 4Gamer, Nintendo has managed to avoid Hyrule Warriors Legends becoming the next New 3DS exclusive. However, because the game is being ported from Wii U, some sacrifices were made.

Koei Tecmo’s Yosuke Hayashi tells 4Gamer that the the older handhelds will run the game, but they won’t support the stereoscopic 3D feature for which the platform is named. The New 3DS and New 3DS XL will offer 3D support, though.

Battlefield Hardline Enters The EA Access Vault On Xbox One Next Month

Battlefield Hardline is a departure from the classic military stylings for the franchise, so you may not have given it a try. If you own an Xbox One and are an EA Access member, you’ll have a reason to give it a go next month.

The game’s listing in the EA Access hub on Xbox One identifies it as being slated for inclusion in “the vault.” This is the section of the app that includes games that are free to play with an active membership.

This was first flagged on Reddit yesterday, and we were able to confirm it ourselves this morning. For more on Battlefield Hardline, check out our review.

Overkill Promises Fix For Crippling Payday 2 Problems On Xbox One By End Of 2015

about X hours ago from

Payday 2 has enjoyed a great deal of success on PC, but console fans have felt jilted since the game’s arrival on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. With the Crimewave Edition landing on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, players hoped things would improve. So far, some have been left disappointed.

The Xbox One version has suffered from matchmaking problems that have severely impacted the experience. According to a post on Reddit by Overkill producer Almir Listo, the team will be rebuilding the matchmaking solution for Microsoft’s latest console.

“We are currently working on a radical change - a full remake of the matchmaking system which will simplify the way you join games and improve the matchmaking,” he writes. “This is a solution that is built from the ground up, as the previous matchmaking system we have for PS4 and PC doesn't work well with your platform. Right now this is our number one priority. Our ambition is to go live with the new matchmaking system and additional fixes within the coming weeks, and no later than the end of the year. Does that mean that we want to release it on 31st of December? Absolutely not, we want to get it done ASAP.”

Wolfenstein: The New Order Voice Actor Hints At A Sequel

about X hours ago from

Machine Games took on the classic Wolfenstein franchise last year and did an impressive job balancing traditional gameplay and contemporary sensibilities. If that kind of shooter is your jam, you might have more to look forward to.

Actress Alicja Bachleda-Curuƛ, who played Anya in Wolfenstein: The New Order, strongly implied during an interview with Polish television station TVN that a sequel is on the way. While she doesn’t mention the game by name, she does offer plenty of context.

“I'm working on a video game, first part of which I have already made,” she said to TVN (and translated by Eurogamer Poland). “Now we're making a second one, which will take two more years. I played this game as a child. I was very happy when I got to the point where I could shoot Hitler."

Watch Us Play A Bunch Of Super Mario Maker Levels Designed By Our Community

about X hours ago from

Last week, we put out a call for your Super Mario Maker levels. Today we played a whole bunch of them.

The story where we asked our community to send us their levels generated more than 100 comments with level codes, so unfortunately, we were not able to play them all. During the extended video below, however, we did play a bunch of them. Join myself, Tim Turi, Ben Reeves, and Brian Shea (with cameo musical guest Wade Wojcik) as we try and play as many levels designed by our community as possible.

We played difficult levels, simple levels, levels inspired by The Silence of the Lambs, and much, much more.
