Square Enix Adjusts Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Pre-Order Plans Following Harsh Feedback

When Square Enix announced the release date for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, it also revealed a tiered pre-order scheme. The more pre-orders the game received, the more rewards players would unlock. Today, the “Augment Your Pre-Order” plan is no more.

The publisher says that the negative feedback on the program led to the decision. “We’ve spent a lot of time reading through all of your comments, working to understand how we can try to make things right for you,” the publisher writes. “After much thought and reflection, we decided to close down the program and make all incentive content available to anyone who pre-orders Deus Ex: Makind Divided or purchases a Day 1 edition of the game.”

This means that players will no longer have to choose which pre-order bonus they receive at different tiers. Everyone will get:

Reader Discussion: Still Collecting Amiibos?

The last wave of Amiibo proved easier to find and Nintendo announced today it is bringing back some harder to find figures. The question is though, Are you still collecting?

I continue to insist that I am not collecting Amiibos, but I do have all of the Zelda ones. And Ness, I had to have Ness. But I really am not collecting them. Are you still collecting Nintendo's nice little plastic figures? Are you excited for any upcoming ones? Are you fretting about the possibility of not getting the ones you want? Are you going to take advantage of your second chance at Shulk? Or are you done? Or did you never even start collecting to begin with? Let us know in the comments below.

PSN Exclusive TV Show Powers Season 2 Adds Reservoir Dogs' Michael Madsen

Michael Madsen, known predominantly for his roles in Quentin Tarantino films like Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill, as well as Free Willy, is joining the second season of Sony's Powers.

Madsen will play SuperShock, who appears in the comics so those familiar with Powers' world will already be familiar. News of Madsen's involvement was revealed on the PlayStation Blog where Powers co-creator and show producer Brian Michael Bendis said the second season has begin filming in Atlanta, GA.

The show's star, District 9's Sharlto Copley, seems to be specializing in projects tangentially, but not directly related, to video games. He has a role in the upcoming first-person film (which takes inspirations from video games) Hardcore. You can check out a trailer for that movie here.

Rare Nintendo Amiibos Coming Back To Retail

A tweet from Nintendo earlier today is the answer to many collectors’ fervent requests. Several of Nintendo’s most sought-after Amiibos are headed back to select retail locations soon. The figures include Captain Falcon, Fox, Greninja, Little Mac, Lucario, and Shulk.

Nintendo neglects to mention a further clarification of what it means by “soon,” so while you can take some faith that they’ll return at some point, it’s likely now time to start checking retailers on a daily basis if you want to make sure and snag one of the Amiibos that you’re missing.

Watch Metal Gear Solid 3’s Naked Snake Battle Guards and Narcosis in New Fan Film

With how expansive Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is, it seems like there’s just no time for series fans to sleep. That didn’t stop the team at Fury Fingers from producing their tribute video to Metal Gear Solid 3’s tranquilizer, though.

“Sleeping With the Enemy” sees MGS3: Snake Eater’s Naked Snake take on a patrol of balaclava-clad guards around a decrepit concrete structure similar to the first portion of the game. Even Revolver Ocelot shows up to show off some moves. This is, of course, before everyone receives a tranquilizer dart to the forehead.
