New Releases This Week: October 11 Through October 17

The weather is getting colder, and the release lists continue to heat up. This week is a bit thinner in terms of volume, but there are still some meaty titles to sink your teeth into.

Telltale delivers a double-header, with the 30th anniversary edition of Back to the Future. You'll also be able to check out the charming Minecraft: Story Mode's first episode.

Those of you who really love America will want to give Broforce a look on PC. And if you are a slime-loving Dragon Quest fan, you might want to give Dragon Quest Heroes a shot (we liked it).

Halo 5 Could Take Up As Much As 60GB Of Your Hard Drive

A picture of the back of Halo 5 box appears to show that Master Chief's latest adventure could take up to 60GB of space on your Xbox One hard drive.

A NeoGAF forum poster has put up pictures of the game box, the back of which states, "...up to 60GB storage required."

We've reached out to Microsoft for comment on the matter, and will update this story if we hear back.

Disney Infinity Star Wars: The Force Awakens Playset And Figures Detailed

Disney Infinity Star Wars: The Force Awakens Playset And Figures Detailed

At New York Comic Con this weekend, the Disney Infinity panel was a boisterous celebration of the new Marvel content coming next year. During the discussion, Infinity vice president of production John Vignocchi teased an announcement for this week. With Star Wars: The Force Awakens just two months away, we now know how it will be incorporated into the toys-to-life game.

The previously revealed Rey and Finn figures are bundled in with the playset. These were first shown off at Disney's D23 event in August.

Additionally, X-Wing pilot Poe Dameron and lightsaber-wielding Kylo Ren have been revealed with images. There will also be a new set of four power discs. However, the placeholder image that has emerged online shows question marks instead of the disc art. The playset, figures, and power disc set launch alongside The Force Awakens' theatrical release on December 18.

Thanks to reader Scott Burress for the tip.

Our Take
Given the pattern of figure releases for playsets, one more hero and a villain makes sense. Hopefully, there's still a Captain Phasma figure yet to be revealed. At the panel on Saturday, Vignocchi mentioned huge fan demand for one or more stormtrooper figures, too. However, it sounded like those might not be in the cards for 3.0.

Star Wars Battlefront Open Beta Getting An Extra Day For Technical Tests

The Star Wars Battlefront beta is getting a extended by one day in order to perform additional technical tests.

Here's what DICE is saying on the Star Wars Battlefront website:

These additional tests will start on Monday, October 12 and will run thru Tuesday, October 13th, which will add an additional day to the open Beta. These tests are to help us find some extreme scenarios, and that means some players may experience occasional issues such as being kicked from the game or losing connectivity. This is all being done in the name of shoring up our infrastructure before we launch on November 17th.

Reader Discussion: With Fallout 4's Release Date A Month Away, What Are You Most Excited For?

The fall schedule of releases is really beginning to ramp up now, but one game in particular has been whipping gamers into a frenzy. Fallout 4, arguably the most anticipated game of the remainder of the year, releases exactly one month from today. We want to know what about the game you're most excited for.

For me, I think it's just the prospect of being able to jump back in and explore another Bethesda open world. Fallout 3 is one of my favorite games of all time, and I loved exploring every single piece of Skyrim, so I can already guess that Fallout 4 will be consuming a large chunk of my free time come November. Outside of that, I'm excited to check out mods. Since I'm primarily a console gamer, I rarely get to enjoy the mod communities that PC gamers benefit from regularly.

Why are you most excited for Fallout 4? Is it the modding, the new settlement construction mechanics, or something else? If you'd like to learn more about Fallout 4 before you answer, you can check out our extended look at the game, or read about everything we knew about Fallout 4 in July.

Luke Skywalker Goes Down Hard In Hilarious Clip From Star Wars Battlefront Beta

Luke Skywalker Goes Down Hard In Hilarious Clip From Star Wars Battlefront Beta

In the Star Wars Battlefront beta, few things are more intimidating on the battlefield than seeing Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader heading in your direction. Not only are they extremely fast and powerful, but they can take a ton of damage before going down thanks to their ability to deflect blaster fire with their lightsabers.

YouTuber Zephs experienced this for himself in a video he posted on his channel. In the video, he witnesses a player rampaging through the game's Walker Assault mode as the Jedi, so without a second thought, he wisely decides to bolt. Unfortunately, he's no match for the speed of Luke Skywalker and the gap is closed almost immediately. Jedi are known for their ability to seemingly anticipate things before they happen, but Luke clearly had no idea about his fate in this battle. Check out the video below, which features some perfectly edited-in music from Star Wars' iconic soundtrack.
