Bungie Addresses Destiny Shadowshot Exploit, Delays Return Of Trials

The last 24 hours have revealed a devastating cheat/exploit on offer in Destiny, which allows the Hunter class to deploy effectively infinite supers in battle. While that breaks the PvE game, it’s an even bigger deal for the PvP game, in which an exploiting player can ruin everyone’s fun. In acknowledgment of that problem, Bungie appears to be delaying the return of Trials of Osiris, according to its latest weekly update. But it’s not all bad news, as the date for hard mode on the raid has been moved up.

Originally, Trials of Osiris was set to return tomorrow, October 16. The highly competitive game mode would have run through the weekend, but in light of the Shadowshot exploit, Bungie has stated that it plans to delay Brother Vance’s return until a solution has been found. Unfortunately, the update stops short of addressing how the infinite super issue may affect Iron Banner in the coming days, as that event has been running all week and will continue until the Tuesday morning reset.

Payday 2's New Microtransactions Are The Only Way To Unlock Cosmetic, Stat-Boosting Items

Payday 2 is the latest game to join Steam’s lucrative, player-driven economy. Overkill has announced that today’s Black Market update for the $19.99 game introduces loot drop safes that can only be opened by using an item purchased with real money.

As you play, you might earn yourself one of two different types of safes at the end of a match. If so, you can purchase a drill for $2.49 and open it for an item. As of now, there is no way to earn drills by playing.

These include weapon skins, some of which might have a special mod or a stat boost. Skins and drills can be bought and sold on the Steam Marketplace.

Guitar Hero Live To Feature Fans Through In-Game Music Video

Activision today announced plans to allow fans to take the next step into its upcoming music game in a very literal way. By submitting clips to the music video creation app, musical.ly, you have a chance to be featured in an in-game music video.

If you’re interested, it’s time to start learning the words to Ed Sheeran’s “Sing.” And if you’re brave enough, concocting a few dance moves certainly wouldn’t hurt. Then check in to the musical.ly app on your iOS, Android, or Amazon device and record your contribution. Between today and October 25, a music video editor will compile the submitted clips, select favorites, and pull the whole thing together into a fan-sourced video. That video will then appear in Guitar Hero Live’s playable music video network.

Looking to practice? Here’s the official video. We’re confident you can do better than that puppet.
